MINISTRY OF MAGIC (PNN) -- A recent study released by the Ministry of Magic suggests a correlation between the rising use of Floo powder and increasing global temperatures.
Ministry spokesman Sora Micates explained: "Since broom prices have gone up and magical carpets have been outlawed, most families have no other choice but to use Floo powder for long trips."
While healers have maintained there are no adverse health effects to long term Floo powder use, there have never been any significant studies on the environmental impact.
Amit Sucrose, owner of Poof Floo Ltd., refuted the study. "Have you seen those monster machines Muggles use? Those things must spit out five times the amount of smoke that a single use of Floo powder does. Don't blame wizards for this one."
Currently there are no plans for Ministry regulations on floo powder.
