I know this is only a small point, but I have just finished re-reading HBP (in time for Deathly Hallows!), and it seems that Ron, at least, is going with Harry to Godric's Hollow. He says that Harry will have to return to the Burrow one more time before going in search of the Horcruxs for Bill's wedding. Harry replies "we shouldn't miss that". It seems to imply that he is accepting that Ron, and probably Hermione, will join him.

Oh my goodness, I can't wait for DH! Vonchas if Draco agreed to go with DD, I think that Harry and Ron would of been very pissed off. They would of been fighting alot and refusing to be in the same room as each other. Draco and his mom would of probably been hidden in the OotP headquarters. Harry wouldn't be too happy about that.
Draco was actually considering goint with DD until the Death Eaters came to his aid.

Yes, Manic, I have just re-read book 6 in preparation too and I got that impression. First Harry was set on going alone but then he seemed to be accepting their company. When you think about it though, he should know that Dumbledore advised him all the way through to confide in Ron and Hermione about everything, so it's obvious that they need to be the ones to help him in the quest of the Horcruxes, eh? I wonder who will collect him from the Dursleys for the wedding. Hey, and when I think about it, Dumbledore must have known he wouldn't be around. That's why he went to Privet Drive before and asked them to let Harry go there one last time until he's 17.

I've just finished re-reading HBP as well.
There are a lot of interesting points you guys brought up; the book also refreshed everything in time for Deathly Hallows.

Draco was most likely going to accept DD's proposal of being safely guarded by the Order. Yet the Death-eaters and Greyback just had to show up.

I also think Ron and Hermoine will be accompanying Harry. DD told Harry to tell them basically, everything.

Can't wait for DH, it's going to be crazy.

I'm now a little dissapointed after finding out that the next book won't focus on Hogwarts. I love reading about all the lessons!

I'm really sure and at least hoping that Ron and Hermione will accompany him on his quest to destroy the Horcruxes and therefore Voldemort.

I agree with you. I was a bit shocked to see Harry saying that he wasn't going back to Hogwarts. Hogwarts is my favourite place in the Harry Potter series!! For all the previous 6 books, Hogwart has been sort of the 'centre' of all the things that happened!! I don't know if I can get used to it if there's no more Hogwarts in DH... well, I guess I'm going to find out tomorrow!

I'm rather excited about this. at least as harry ventures some place else we'll go along with him. i'm thankful enough that Hogwarts has been one of the most historical venue of the last 7 potter books but i think that we should all look forward to the next destinations that harry and the other characters will be on.

Unfortunately, Dumbledore's dead...
What is now Harry going to do with the Horcruxes...Will he manage to destroy all of them or will he have been so hesitant so as not to try to destroy them???

Let's find out to the next book...

This chapter was so well writen, that it made me cry. The power and love shown through JK's words were very touching to me. I however, was not surprised by Harry's decision to leave Hogwarts because I knew that he would want to avenge his fallen friend and mentor.

Voldemort was not the one who actually killed Myrtle though. The basilisk is what actually killed her. I think you have to kill a person directly in order to make a horcrux...
I am sure Harry is a horcrux.

I thought all along that Harry was an accidental Horcrux - what with DD going on about a Horcrux having to have a bit of its creator's soul within it. Maybe it was just me but I always thought it was kind of blindingly obvious that a bit of LV's soul was in Harry, with the scar, the parseltongue, the weird mental connection and the prophecy! Saying that I was also convinced that Harry was the heir of Gryffindor so it shows how odd my thinking sometimes is!
