I loved that update!!! I smiled through the whole thing. Well, okay I did cry a little with the James/Harry talk.
By the way, the relatives are only mine through marriage so I've never been there to see them. (Not sure this was addressed on this story) |

Hi Bridge!
That was a really nice update....... But, you're right. There is really something fundamentally unhappy about this........even though they are so happy...... Maybe its because we know they have no future....... Well, anyway, keep writing these. They're really good reads. Cheers, Annie |

“Come on, birthday boy...”
*sniffs* Harry's only birthday when they're all still alive. Oh it's so sad. Remus laughed. “Conditioning him for Quidditch already?” “Yup. He’s got to make the house team,” James called back with a grin. Everything in this is making me feel sad, even though it's happy. I love this bit. If you grow up to be... Quidditch Captain, Headboy and in love with a redhead, it was just coincidence, okay?” HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA Yeah, it was all just a coincidence... Ohhhhhhhh the bit with Sirius and Peter was good. That was really good. Uhm, isn't Remus's birthday 10th March? But apart from that, I love this update loads. Terrific. |

Liana’s heart jumped happily as she watched Sirius playing with their Godson. It was entirely too cute to see the huge dog allowing the baby to pull at its fur. She laughed and snapped a picture as Harry grabbed hold of Sirius’ ears. To her surprise, Sirius didn’t yank his head away. Instead, he walked back slowly, carefully pulling Harry to his unsteady feet.
That's so cut. Sirius and harry had a so good relationship. And Harry was so loved, they were all so happy... Why did Peter break all that? I so hate him. You be your own person, alright? Don’t let Mummy think I forced you into anything. If you grow up to be... Quidditch Captain, Headboy and in love with a redhead, it was just coincidence, okay?” Harry giggled. That's so strange Harry finally became like that, even if his father wasn't there to encourage him... |

This is probably all just pure coincidence, but earlier today I was in Art, looking up photos for my final jungle landscape piece (and putting off painting it) when I came across this... and it was spookily accurate...
Lianas are a type of vine that grows in the jungle. I've pulled this all straight off a website. Due to their manner of growth, lianas grow in almost any direction, responding rapidly to changes in the local environment. Hence it is common to see the forming knots, braids, loops and circles. These shapes and forms add much to the “jungle” feel of a tropical rainforest. They add to the overall complexity of the habitat, which favors the evolution of more species. ![]() The liana seemed to have no idea what direction to grow in. Eventually, lianas do reach the upper canopy where they put out leaves and flowers. But on the forest floor all you see is the stem, which will grow as thick as a small tree trunk. The absence of leaves and flowers at ground level makes lianas notoriously difficult to identify in the field. It’s difficult to see how this liana could have grown naturally, but it did! Presumably three stems grew vertically, intertwining like strands of a cable. Then their host tree fell down and the strands looped to the right and began to grow vertically again but all this is pure conjecture. Updated Mar 28, 2006 at 4:16 PM by Through_the_veil |

Ah well, I knew it was a funny quidditch announcer quote. I love how they insult the opposing team of their house and don't even get in trouble because the teachers agree. Very funny. |

I liked the Hermione (" ...a bookworm) and Ron (...likes chess better) refernce. Doesn't seem like anyone else got it.
Oh, I was wonderking, what happened to all the pictures Laina's taken. It is called "Liana's Snapshots", where did all her snapshots go? Does Morgan have them? |

I read this before I read the new update of Morgan. A dumb question about the photos now. I know where they go. Isn't that conincidental. As soon as I ask about them, they are in the other story.

There is really something fundamentally unhappy about this........even though they are so happy...... Maybe its because we know they have no future....... *agrees* Uhm, isn't Remus's birthday 10th March?*smacks forehead* Yeah... it is. *sigh* The first place I looked didn't tell me... I should have kept looking. Sorry... My dad used to do that to me...haha. I love this because it is very real and very cute. I love the little family you have set up with them all, it seems so fitting. Thanks, Milan! So glad to have you reading these again... I'mglad you found it real, that's what I as aiming for. My mom used to do that with my little brother, that's where I got it from. Its not fair, it really isn't...its like some people deserve to be happy and some don't...Lily and James definately fall into the deserve to be happy bit. They definitely do... Summer, age 15 (aka summer after fifth year)
“Did you hear the one about the girl who was alone-” Liana stopped talking as a well-aimed pillow hit her squarely in the face. “Stop with the ghost stories, Ana!” Delaney cried, pulling a blanket over her head. She continued to laugh. “Nice throw, Lil, by the way.” Lily shrugged. “I was getting tired of them, too.” She frowned at Liana through the darkness. “You’ve already told a bunch, Ana. Give it a rest.” “Not scaring you, am I?” Liana teased. “No,” Brice, sitting on Delaney’s bed, answered. “It’s just that all of your stories start out with girls who are home alone... which is unnecessarily fitting.” Liana merely laughed, rolling onto her back on Delaney’s rug. She, Lily and Brice were staying at the Bryant’s house for the middle two weeks of the summer. On this, the third night of their stay, Delaney’s parents had gone out to dinner and left the four girls alone. Liana had decided to amuse herself with a few well-chosen ghost stories as the clock clicked towards midnight. She loved the little fright the ridiculous stories gave her. “No, see it’s not that,” Delaney said, pouting slightly at being subtly considered a coward. “It’s that... the paper has nasty enough stories. Why have we got to invent more?” Liana’s good mood faltered. Perhaps it was a bit insensitive to tell gory ghost stories right now. Every morning there was news of disappearances and arrests. She cleared her throat. “I didn’t mean anything by it, Lane.” “No, I know you didn’t,” Delaney said quietly. She sighed. “Let’s do something... funner-” “Funner’s not a word,” Brice said immediately. “Oh, shut up, you know what I meant,” Delaney said. She jumped up. “I think we’ve got ice cream downstairs, should I go swipe it?” “Sure...” Delaney carefully stepped over Liana and out her bedroom door. Liana blinked at the ceiling. “Be so much easier if we could just summon the ice cream.” Lily laughed. “Got to get through sixth year first. Then we can.” “Yeah, I-” A sharp shriek cut Liana off. Delaney came pounding up the stairs and burst through the door, falling heavily over Liana’s ankle. With a shout, Liana pulled her leg away. “Delaney, what the-” “There’s someone outside, there’s someone outside!” Delaney yelped, scrambling into a sitting position and pulling her quilt off her bed and over her head. Liana shot Lily a startled look. She hadn’t thought her ghost stories that convincing. Brice slid off her seat by the window and knelt on the floor. “Probably just imagining it, Lane. Or the wind or something-” “It’s not the wind!” Delaney said angrily, yanking the quilt off her flushed face. “The wind doesn’t walk across the yard-” “What?” Delaney jumped up and pushed her way to the window. She pressed her face against the pane. “I can’t... I can’t see them from here,” she said, craning her neck. “But I saw someone, I swear...” Liana felt like she’d been dunked in a bucket of ice water. Suddenly it wasn’t funny to be scared. “Lily,” she whispered, “what do we do?” Lily took a startled step back. “Why are you asking me?” “‘Cause..,” Liana trailed off, finding she didn’t have a reason. Brice had pulled out her wand. Liana mimicked her. They were all under age, but in these dangerous times, everyone carried their wands. “We could just Floo Powder to my house and contact the Ministry,” Brice suggested. “Oh,” Liana said, surprised with the ease with which Brice had a solution. Though she supposed Brice would be the one to come up with a solution at a time like this. She was never one to panic. “Yeah, that makes sense...” “So,” Delaney whispered, “if we can just get down to the kitchen we can-” Ding! All four girls jumped. Lily edged to Delaney’s bedroom door. “Is that your doorbell?” Delaney’s freckled brow furrowed. “Yeah... would murderers ring the doorbell?” Liana laughed, pushing her way past Lily and into the hall. “No, they wouldn’t. I’m gonna go see who it is.” “Liana, don’t,” Brice said sharply. “They could just be trying to lure us out...” Liana rolled her eyes. “You’re paranoid, Brice.” “No, I’m not,” the girl said firmly. “It’s 11:30 at night. People don’t come for visits at 11:30.” “True,” Liana admitted. She dropped her foot to the first stair. “But maybe it’s someone who’s lost or hurt or...” “That’s what they want you to think,” Delaney muttered darkly. Liana rolled her eyes. “Fine. You Floo your way out of here. I’m gonna see who it is...” Lily sighed and stepped out of the room. “I’ll come with you.” “Alright,” Liana said. She tightened her grip on her wand and began to walk quietly down the stairs. Tutting in a disapproving fashion, Brice followed. Delaney gave a squeal at being left behind and tripped down the stairs after them. At the bottom of the stairs, Liana paused. She looked across Delaney’s dark living room to the door. She could see almost nothing. She turned to her friends. “Delaney, why don’t you just stand by the fireplace... then we can get out of here if we need to.” Delaney nodded and found her way carefully to the fireplace in the shadowy room. Liana glanced at Lily and together they started off carefully across the room. The doorbell rang again, making them all jump. No one moved. “Maybe we should-” Whoever was outside began knocking at the door impatiently. Liana gasped and took a step back. Maybe Delaney was right. Maybe they should have left. “Mrs. Bryant?” an almost-familiar voice called through the door. Delaney yelped in surprise, taking a step back. “Who’s that?” “Mr. Bryant?” another voice tried. “Sorry...” Lily was looking at th |
