This is the place for all femmeslash shippers! Femmeslash seems to be left behind in the mighty slash world, so here is a place especially for it! You can talk about the possibility of different pairings, what you like about those pairings, or anything to do with the femmeslash world really!

If you don't like the idea of slash or femmeslash, (shipping of people of the same sex) thats your opinion! But please don't be rude! If someone is rude ignore them or call a mod!

So my personal favorite is Ginny/Hermione! But there are plenty more possibilities, so please comment!

(P.s thanks Gryffindor? for the name!)

Edited to Add: If your interested in talking about slash, (not femmeslash) feel free to head over to any of these other threads! Please keep this one to strictly girl/girl discussion :) :)
Cut it up - General slash conversation
The shrieking Shack - Remus/Sirius
Ship into the Past - Harry/Cedric
The Broom Closet - Harry/Draco
The Ultimate Support - Ron/Viktor
Lucius Snape
More than Friends - Harry/Ron
Alchemist's Moon - Snape/Lupin

You're cute, you know that?

I think part of the problem is that most of the good HP characters are male. Sure, there are some great girls, but it's also raw numbers.

As far as femmeslash goes, I like Ginny/Luna (it's started to grow on me for some reason), Hermione/Fleur (despite my usual opposition to rivalslash), and I can see McGonagall as gay, but I think she's single.

thanks :P
Thats true most characters are male, but im such a fan of femmeslash, and there dont seem to be that many around. i love the idea of Tonks being gay, and Hermione/Tonks is a good possibility. I like Ginny/Luna too, and ive read a really good fanfic about them, which makes me like it even more!
I find it hard to pair fleur with anyone really, mostly because she annoys me so much XD

See, I can see Fleur pursuing Hermione because she's so determinedly unimpressed with Fleur.

And I like bi!Tonks. I actually like the Tonks/Lupin ship, but Tonks with a girl is cute. I can see her with Ginny more than Hermione, though. Tonks and Ginny would be a kind of mischievious double act.

ScintillationStar- Great thread! I could have sworn I had suggested you made one somewhere. *shrugs*

Like you, Hermione/Ginny is incredible in my opinion. There's alot of tension between Ginny and Fleur. Some scenes made me want to stand up and scream "UST!". *laughs*

Well, thought I'd better pop in and shout Whoop for another slash thread! Even though I'm not really that much into femmeslash cos I don't like any of the HP girls apart from Luna..

But, one can never have too much slash, male or female!! *happy dance*

Ginny rocks though. If I were in Hogwarts, I'd definitely have a crush on her. *blushes* And Draco of course. I'm too bi for my own good. *sighs*

So Ginny/Me works, right? *smiles*

Honestly, why not go for the gold and have Tonks, Hermione, Ginny, and Fleur have a girl's night in? XD

Most of the possible femmeslash pairings would be more of a comrades in arms kind of thing, because most of the girls are spoken for. I can't really see Ginny completely throwing Harry over. She's been in love with him since she was eleven years old, and has been biding her time for years to get him.

However, this doesn't rule out experimentation, or stuff set in the future.

I'd say there are a lot of good ones, it's just a story about a boy, you know? And there's all that stuff about James, so all the peer groups we see are centered on a male character. If it was Harriet Potter, with her friends Veronica Weasely and Hermes Granger, there'd be more femmeslash potential.

How about Lavender and Parvati. I could definetly see that. Ron ditched Lavender and she needs some moral support.

Cho/Marrieta. Harry broke it off with Cho and she's feeling lonely...?

Those ships I can envision. Yeah I agree with McGonagall being gay. Its possible.

Back in Black69, I agree about Lavender and Parvati! I never really thought about it, but I can see them being more than friends...

Why does everyone always make Hooch gay? O_o

Great thread, guys! I don't have any ships I really like other than ones I have read in fanfic. I have read some really good Ginny/Cho stories. I think Ginny is a good one to ship with another girl.
I don't know why Hooch is always percieved as a lesbian, Taiyou. Maybe its the quiddich coach/gymteacher thing. I read a pretty good fic where she and Snape had a got drunk together.
In my opinion, any ship with Snape in it would be great, but then it wouldn't be femmeslash. Unless he was dressed like Mrs Longbottom. Thats my new femmeslash fave Mrs Longbottom/Bogart Snape!!!!

::laughs:: yep you sure did, and gryf gave me the name, so really its been a group project! ::smiles::

How about Lavender and Parvati. I could definetly see that. Ron ditched Lavender and she needs some moral support.
Lavender and Parvarti are a definite possibility, but im hesitant to say that just because they are always together they must be more than good friends. And I couldn't see much development in the relationship. Not to be unfaithful to my sex, but they seem like the type that are too silly about guys, and who need attention and to be told what to do, kinda. So it wouldnt really work.

And I like bi!Tonks
Everyone seems to like bi tonks, but i really think she is good as a lesbian. Im totally opposed to the lupin/tonks thing.

What if Snape's animagus is...A WOMAN!?! Would that be possible?
me thinks not, as animagus are animals, and although yes humans are animals, i really thinks its about transforming into a different species.

Yeah, I agree with you ScintillatingStar about turning into a seperate species. =3 Not a seperate gender...

What about a transgendermagus?

transgendermagus?
Taiyou did you ever read Beware of the Fat Muggle in Love?
It was about Dudley falling in love with Neville. He snuck into Harry's trunk to go to Hogwarts. Dumbledore found that he was a new type of magical person, a Wickard - a wizard who could turn into a witch. It is a pretty funny story. I think there was slash and femmeslash in that story.

What about a transgendermagus?

XD I'm sure thats a possibility! It would make life easier for transsexuals. I wonder if there is a spell of potion that would do it? That would be an interesting fanfic!

I never read that fanfic, Judyqeen =3 But I like the Wickard idea! x3

And yes, it would! BUT! How would the wizarding community view the transgendered witches and wizards...?

It would be the same as the muggle world, some would think its wrong (im guessing perhaps the old families ie lucius malfoy), where as others would see it as fine. Would you be born with the ability to change from witch to wizard? If you were a wickard, or would it be something you chose?

Well. Let's say there are some who can change sex, and nothing else, willingly - what would that be looked at as? O_o

Usually people would prefer one gender though right? Hmmm perhaps it would be like a gender queer, because if you could change sex all the time you would see it as insignificant.

Yeah.

Well, I think it would almost be like being a hermaophrodite, you know? I don't know if it would be gender queer, since you technically HAVE both sexes...

I guess... this reminds me of my english class, we are studying a postmodern film that is supposed to represent gender as a social construct blah blah blah ::shudders::
hmmm i wonder what this has got to do with femmeslash ^_^ we seem to have wandered off subject.
Thats my new femmeslash fave Mrs Longbottom/Bogart Snape!!!!
Sooooo if Snape was a female, he would go well with Mrs Weasley??? Ermmm thats an interesting thought O_o i still dont see much compatability.

tis what judyqueen said, I probably mis-interpreted something though, im good at that. I would never see it happening either. I could perhaps see Mrs Wealsey/Mrs Longbottom, but really, im freaking myself out O_o
