New Backdrop for HPANA

Hey, not that i dont like it still but shouldn't HPANA be getting a new Picture thingy up there? Like, seeing as the next movie will be coming out in like 6 days, shouldn't the mods have put up a picture of the DA or something? Just a thought. I was kind of getting tired of looking at the same old GoF thing for awhile, know what I mean?

I don't know, it took a while for the pictures to come up last time. I remember when I first joined, they still had the backdrop from PoA, even though GoF had already been out for a few months.

I don't know, I'd say it all depends on what the mods want to do. Maybe you should suggest it to them?

Yeah I perfectly understand. Not being one to pay much attention to the banner I've never minded. But I will say this: it could use changing.

Yea mean its been up there for so long and I been here logging in like, "*Sigh* They still have that same thing up there? I mean its been like two years!" Im sorry, I think I just pay too much attention to it.

I do remember the old backdrop, so either they can't put one on right away, or they just didn't have the time to get it up there. I don't know if they would us the D.A as the backdrop, but it would be an amazingly good idea, since it would be a perfect insignia of unity.

Sorry to say but I doubt you'll be getting one anytime soon. The webmaster has had some serious health problems since earlier this year & he is slowly coming round. There is a topic about this in the MoM forum & I will be moving that there as this has to do with site related questions.

That's unfortunate, Geri; I didn't know that Jeff was still ill. Last I heard of him, he wasn't doing too well, but I thought things were okay now.

Black Vulcan - I actually sent a few to Geri that I made when I was bored(did you get them), hehe, but yea Jeff has been sick lately and I really hope he gets better soon!

I came here to request that a new banner be put up and instead I would like to offer my best wishes for a speedy recovery for Jeff/Cheeser... is there anything we HPANAers can do for him?

Good idea. Even the DH book cover art would be good instead of a shot of the film.

Hey Jeff... I just read your Potter Profile and I hope that you are feeling better. HPANA has been such an integral part of my Harry Potter experience since I joined back in 2005. It's actually the only site I access on a regular basis.

I really hope you (Jeff) are feeling better! I just read the article you linked above and I just wanted to say thanks for HPANA! I've tried a few other HP related sites with forums, but none even come close to the warm fuzzy feeling I get when visiting HPANA.
To stay on topic :) I really would love to see a new banner with a pic from the 5th movie maybe...if you have the time. Thanks again |

Not wishing to be annoying or picky or anything ... but ...
As much as I love the current HPANA banner, in everything to do with the World Wide Web, things move quickly and as such the current banner is very, VERY dated. I've noticed that traffic to this site has slowed considerably (which is to be expected now that the final book is done and dusted), but it wouldn't help matters that the current banner displays pictures from a movie over 3 years old ... Surely Warner Bros could OK the move to some new pics? There's some amazing fan-made stuff out there - I mean, just have a look at some of the HPANA members' avatars. So just a small (humble) request that the current overlaying banner is updated soon. Thanks! |

There is a couple of GREAT banners on Facebook in the HPANA obessors group.
Maybe someone could check them out. I know the person responsible for them is waiting on a reply about them. They are very good. Cheers Kimmy |
