ABC News in the U.S. is working on a behind-the-scenes look at the life of "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling. The show, which will air in November, will include several interviews, tour of locations that inspired her characters and coverage from the final book tour.

It is being reported this morning that "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson has signed on to star in "Napoleon and Betsy," a period drama being written and directed by Benjamin Ross which hopes to film in the fall.

JKR's signature helps church raise £10,000
J.K. Rowling's signature in the visitor's book from St. Luke's church in the UK helped raise £10,000 ($19,712) at a fundraising launch for Tutshill church while the book was on display. Ms. Rowling mentions in the documentary "J.K. Rowling...A Year in the Life" that she stole a name from the same book to use for an "unpleasant character" in the books.

'The Harry Potter Kids' documentary to re-air on the Biography channel in U.S.
For those who didn't catch it the first time it was aired in the U.S. back in December 2007, the Biography channel will re-air a documentary called "The Harry Potter Kids" profiling actors Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson later this month.

Update: Judge in Rowling case urges settlement again; JKR issues statement
During today's court proceedings in New York between RDR Books and Warner Bros. and "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, the judge once again urged a settlement amongst the parties involved. Judge Robert P. Patterson stated that "...this case, with imagination, could be settled." Update: Following today's event author J.K. Rowling has issued a new statement.

Lexicon owner "talked into doing it by the publishing company"
To add to our previous post on the court case currently taking place in New York between "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, Warner Bros. and RDR Books, comes news that the author of the book in question told the court that "he was talked into doing it by the publishing company" and that "It's been difficult because there has been a lot of criticism, obviously, and that was never the intention."

Update: JKR arrives for court in NYC
Over the past few months we informed you of the legal case that "Harry Potter" author, J.K. Rowling, has brought against Steve Vander Ark (Harry Potter Lexicon) and his publisher RDR Books. Ms. Rowling arrived at the courthouse in New York City earlier this morning and the proceedings are currently taking place before Judge Robert P. Patterson without a jury. Update: Ms. Rowling issued a statement today in reference to the court proceedings.

JKR & other children's author's urge action to protect children in Darfur
"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling is one of 14 children's author's who have written an open letter to the world demanding international action on behave of the children of Darfur. On the eve of the 'Global Day for Darfur' Ms. Rowling is joined in her plea by Judy Blume, R.L. Stine and others to bring attention in "demanding an immediate ceasefire, full deployment of the U.N. peacekeeping force, action against anyone blocking deployment and support for a just peace process."

New news on 'Half-Blood Prince' filming
Some new filming news on the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" movie has appeared online which details that construction started this week on the cloisters and gardens of Gloucester Cathedral and that Malfoy's house is under construction. Also a report from a visit to the set in early March indicates that an important book scene has already been filmed.

Daniel Radcliffe signs record deal in New York
"Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe has signed a deal to produce two albums under New York label VMA Records. A departure from his publicly known musical preferences, Radcliffe will try his hand at techno/Dutch pop style songs. Radcliffe began an infatuation with the genre in 2007 and already recorded demos available on a shadow band's MySpace profile.

UPDATE: 'Harry Potter' anime coming to TV in 2012
It is expected to be announced today that an agreement between Warner Bros., JK Rowling and Akira Toriyama, the creator of "Dragon Ball," has been reached for the development of a "Harry Potter" anime TV series to air on ABC in the U.S. beginning fall 2012. Be sure to watch the CBS 'Early Show' on Friday morning in the U.S. as merchandise from Alivan's (Makers of Fine Handcrafted Magic Wands) will be prominently displayed during a feature on college Quidditch teams. The piece will feature news on Middlebury Colleges visit to Amherst College in Amherst, MA to play one game during their eight-city tour during this spring break.
