So, you've read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and pretty darn quick, too. Like many others around the world, you have a sore neck and strained eyes, the result of reading an 870-page book in two or three days. Now you want to share your arduous journey with others. This is the place to do it.

First I'll offer my own thoughts (LET THE SPOILERS BEGIN).

One word: WOW. And I thought the Dursleys were mean. As I'm thinking of where to begin talking about Order of the Phoenix, the one thing that keeps coming to the forefront of my mind is the book's grave look into the corruption and abuse of power (and vice-versa, the power of abuse and corruption). Whether found in the annals of history or safely between the book covers of children's fiction, it can be accurately restated that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

More on that later, but first, the death: How many of you were right? Raise your hands. Sirius was definitely on my short-list. When JK said a major character was going to die, I knew it wouldn't be any of the trio, I thought it might be an older Weasley, but then my thoughts turned to Sirius. He was given to Harry, so how painful could it be to have him taken away? That was my reasoning, anyway.

Is Cho finally "over-and-out"? Will the Weasley twins' business continue to succeed? Does the Ministry now understand how much it needs Dumbledore?

Fluer is too high maintenance for Bill. I think he will tire of her... Since she is working near the twins, they may fight over her.

But I look for Bill to have a relationship with Tonks. I think that they might even marry. Molly would nearly crack up! I loved the interaction between Tonks and Molly especially during domestic duties! I do think if Tonks becomes a Weasley, she will die.

Tonks and Bill, actually I never picked that up. I keep hoping for a love interest for Lupin, but he's just not interested *sighs*

So then, Sirius would've definately been in charge. And I agree that Lily and Alice must've been frinds. But I'm not sure about when they were attacked, so... Does anyone know for sure who was attacked first?

alchemist530 we don't know who got attacked first but i presumed it was lily and james because quite a bit of time had past before the longbottoms lost their minds remember bellatrix and the others were trying to find out where voldermalt was thats why they went to the longbottoms in the first place.

I remember in an interview JKRowling said that Lupin wants people to like him, but I done remember the trust thing. Lupin, i think, is next in line after Harry of terrible things that have happened- all his closest friends have been killed (or betrayed others...) now he's the last one standing. OH- something just popped into my head- what if the Mauraders made some kind of pact for the last one standing, after they joined the order... (money springs to mind- Sirius' old family must have money, and Lupin sure deserves a break)

My guess is Ron will figure out his feelings for Hermione.
Harry will figure out his for Ginny - and due to Ron being so weird about who sates his sister keep it- Harry and Ginny will keep it secret... Ron will think Harry likes Hermione and do something stupid... I think that Hermione will be presumed dead in Book6 at the hand of Ron, but turn up ok in 7.

Bellatrix is supposed to be married (not that it matters a bit, but still.) I can see all the other couples, except maybe for Snape and Andromeda- if she married a muggle before, she probably wouldnt go for someone like Snape... hehee... and that would make Snape and Sirius cousin-in-laws, right? THERES a happy family... but I can see all the other pairings, though (especially harry-ginny-ron-hermione), and who can tell the actions of LUV???

The relationships, hmm well the gang has grown to a neat 6 hasn't it? evenly 3 boys 3 girls, Harry, Ron, Neville, Hermione, Ginny, Luna. Then there are the peripherals, Vicky, and Cho (well I think they're peripherals). Plus there is a bit of inter gang confusion over who really likes who.
