Our amazing moderator Anita has obtained a very recent on-set photo of Alan Rickman, Rupert Grint and Gary Oldman
. Rickman is standing in back, out of costume, Grint has some sort of dirt on his chin, and Oldman has long, dark, shaggy hair!

I was floored by Gary Oldman - he didn't look anything like any other character I've ever seen him portray. I would not recognize him at all...he has an uncanny ability to morph into whatever character he's doing. I think he will be an amazing Sirius!

Sirius-Ella: I agree with what you said that he was supposed to be a surprise, but a fan got through WB's security and the damage is done. I highly doubt that Mr. Oldman isn't at least 75% into his character -- take off the glasses and the smile he's Sirius.
Quite frankly, Gary Oldman never did appeal to me (and neither did Sirius for that matter), but... I'm getting into it :)

Anyways...I didn't envision Sirius with such wavy hair. A bit more straighter I guess. I hink the way he looked in The Scarlet Letter would suit him more as Sirius. But hey...what ever the make-up department comes up with is fine by me. I can't tell the crew what to do. Unfortunately with movies we see the book as the director envisioned it and not always the way we envisioned it in our heads.

I trust and hope that this is not at all how Sirius is supposed to look and I believe that Warner Bros. has confirmed my belief on Mugglenet.com but I think we all need to expect a rather broken down state of Sirius as keep in mind that he just got out of Azkaban and I'm pretty sure that they don't give out fresh uniforms and administer haircuts there. I guess we will just have to trust the makeup and costume departments for the final product.

I am wondering who the girls are in the picture. And no offense to Rupert, but i think he needs a little hair cut. But who knows about Oldman, as far as we know, he can turn out to be the perfect Sirius Black. We'll just have to wait and see.

ok first off I thought the picture was takin off...anyway....I think we will be surprised on how well Gary does I beleive he will hit the nail on the head..he does his characters so good.....and as for David I only saw him in Black Beauty but I think he will be perfect just as long as HE has brownish/almost graying hair.....
