Warthog announces Potter video game Popular (814)

Warthog's financial worries are due to it's postponement of several of it games, as mentioned in a previous news postopens in new window on HPANA - namely, Animaniacs and E.T.

Warthog hopes to revive sales with the release ofopens in new window 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.'

Software developer Warthog has announced the game will go on sale later this year. The news came as the company issued a profit warning, saying it expected to report pre-tax losses of around £750,000 for the year ending March 31.

...Manchester-based Warthog, which employs more than 250 people, has signed a deal with games software publisher Electronic Arts to develop the Harry Potter game. Called Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone - after the first novel by JK Rowling - it will be made for the PlayStation2, XBox and Nintendo GameCube.

I really do hope that they get all of their financial problems worked out super quick. In my opinion, they really need to make more computer games ... it is how the world of video games started, isn't it? :)
