Potter baddie Jason Isaacs discusses
his new upcoming film, Peter Pan and how he nearly didn't do the Harry Potter movies.
Jason Isaacs who plays the villainy Lucius Malfoy talks about why he did the Harry Potter movies as well as the addicting factor of the books.
"So, I wasn't quite sure whether to do Lucius Malfoy or not. I read all four books in one sitting and I suddenly understood why my friends, who I'd thought were slightly backward, had been so addicted to these books.
"You know, they're like crack, but nonetheless, I thought, 'Should I really do Lucius Malfoy, I just committed to doing Captain Hook?' All my godchildren called me and said, 'You have to do it'. And I've got a young daughter Lily so all these kids were saying she'd be really proud of me when she's older, she was six months at the time."

I thought he did an excellent job and his interview in the additional bits of COS' DVD was sooo funny! He obviously has a great sense of humor, as well as being a fine actor.

When I saw the title of the article, I thought 'Captain Hook' before reading anything else. He is made for that role, as well as the role of Lucius Malfoy. He plays the parts of villians really well!

I LOVE jason Isaacs he is such a good malfoy he's perfect he is even eviler than draco (tom) and he is just such a cool guy! I want to go see peterpan it looks interesting, we'll see!

One thing I realy like about the HP movies is that the characters ( both the kids and the adult) are well casted. And they always get the best actors in the bussiness.

All of the books in one sitting? Crazy! It took me 1week for book 1. 1week for book 2 (i read really slow by the way.) 1week for book 3. 4days for book 4. And 2weeks for book five. But i read them all over the last summer. My friends say i must have been bored...but i wasnt!

As with all the rest, I too am pleased he decided to play the part of Lucius. His portrayal is outstanding.
Now, while I never do illegal drugs, I believe he has a point about the crack issue. It happened to me. Of course now I'm hopelessly addicted to Harry. And by the way, I'm in no way seeking a cure.

Jason Issacs does just about a perfect rendition of Lucious Malfoy. He also fits very well with Tom Felton who plays Draco. They are a good match and add to the quality of the films. It is funny how the actors selected can have such a big impact.

"They are like crack." HAHAHAHA - that is EXACTLY how I feel about those books! It was so funny to see him say that abput Harry potter books. It was neat to see he finally broke down and read them, then understood what his friends were talking about.
I am also glad he was Lucius. MAN, he is AWESOME, and perfect for the role. He and Tom Fleton made a very good duo, too.

Props to Isaac.
Isaac was the perfect cast for Molfoy. No one could do better.
