Rumors abound on the Internet - and the Harry Potter books and films are certainly no exception. But just remember that rumors are just that - rumors - until confirmed.
Keeping that in mind, two rumors regarding the movie version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which isn't due out until 2007, are currently making the rounds.
According to Contactmusic News
, if you were worried that the irreplaceable trio of Daniel Radcliffe
, Emma Watson
, and Rupert Grint
, along with bad boy Tom Felton
, were in danger of, well, being replaced by the time Order of the Phoenix gets rolling, fret no more.
Harry Potter lead actor Daniel Radcliffe has been signed up to star in the fourth and fifth installments of the magical movie adaptations.
Alongside Harry, fellow teenage stars Emma Watson - playing Hermione, Rupert Grint - playing Ron, and Tom Felton - playing Draco, have also been confirmed as definites.
The problem is that Contactmusic News
is by no means in a position to officially confirm anything - plus they didn't bother to quote a source in their article - so take this news with a grain of salt for now.
And thanks to MuggleNet for pointing to another interesting rumor: if you're wondering who Warner Bros. is going to tap to direct Order of the Phoenix, then look no further than IMDb's Order of the Phoenix webpage
, which lists Stuart Baird
as the director. If you're curious about Baird's other work, he's also directed Star Trek: Nemesis
, U.S. Marshals
, and Executive Decision
.
Again, keep in mind that IMDb
is not in a position to officially confirm this type of news.
But it does make for some interesting speculation in the meantime ...

I hope this to be true! I hate when characters are replaced. It's just not the same, and I love all the actors in the Harry Potter movies. They are perfect for their roles...

I hope thats true. I would really like to see all of the same actors finish the whole set of movies. The actors now are the ones that we all love and expect and to replace them would make the movie lose its appeal. To me anyway.

And i will be there supporting them, they can't change them now if they where going to do that they should have done thant since the 2film not when everyone have gotten use to them.
But you can't prove a rumor that's why they call it a rumor.

Hopefully the rumors are true. I think the movies would almost be dumb without the three main stars. Hopefully all the actors will stay, or I dont think I could be able to enojy the movies.

I hope they keep the actors for all of the movies... I mean, there are 30 year old actors who play high schoolers, why can't they stay with it?

Tonks! says:
Well...I really enjoy Dan, Emma, and Rupert's acting...I hope they still continue. Now I'm getting psyched up about the fifth movie as well, I'm hopeless. At this rate, I'm probably going to develop blood pressure from just worrying about Harry Potter. (Yeah that sounded lame...my humour needs a little work unfortunately!)

Well, I'm glad to know that the movie is probably going to be out in Nov. 2005, if I remember correctly.
Wait...
I'm confused.
Maybe I am remembering incorrectly.
Oh well, it still is coming out a LONG time from now, but before 2007.
Anyway.
Rumors aren't so bad.
They give us hints.
Hope to be hearing more recent ones pretty soon.

I don't think it would be hard for the actors to play off their characters' ages. You've got people in their late 20's playing teenagers in movies.
And I believe the confirmed director for OotP is David Yates.
