Harry Potter himself wants to thank his fans for donating more than £1,850 to the Demelza House charity he supports. In an e-mail to Jenna and Page of DanRadcliffe.com and DanRadcliffe.co.uk, he says:
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated to my Demelza House Christmas appeal. I heard today that the total raised is £1,853.50 - this is just fantastic and I am thrilled that people responded so generously. I am also excited about the fact that so many people because of Danradcliffe.com and DanRadcliffe.co.uk are now aware of this wonderful place. A special thank you to Jenna and Page.
I never cease to be amazed by the kindness and thoughtfulness of my fans. THANK YOU.
The two fan sites received a plea from Dan last year to send money to Demelza House
, a children's hospice (like the Ronald McDonald House) where sick kids can stay, instead of sending him presents for Christmas.

Considering that many of Dan's fans are probably not huge wage earners, I think this is not only a significant sign of how much they like him, but how generous they are. Its a win win situation if there ever was one.

I am very grateful to Dan for using his celebrity to benefit those who are less fortunate than him! Not many people his age think about the bigger picture and realise what an impact he/she can have on the world around them. Demelza House is a beautiful place for children and their families who need hope and love. I hope that Dan continues to support this endevour to bring happiness to children's lives. By financial support and by doing all 7 HP films.

Oh yes, he is sweet. I think a fair number of celebrities do support charities - which is good of course - and I'm glad that Dan is one of them. Its really nice that Dan is doing this, and its nice how he communicates with his fans through these two web sites in what appears to be such a sincere and truly appreciative way.
