The owners of Magic Box
, a company that creates music for film and television, are pictured with John Williams on their site's news page. The team is working on a new trailer for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban:

John Sponsler and Tom Gire previously contributed to the trailers for the first two Potter movies. Williams, who turned 72 on Feb. 8, scored the soundtrack.

lightsabergoME - I agree entirely. I was going to say the same thing, but you explained it so well.
Regarding the trailer - while not set in concrete, you may have noticed that trailers and releases tend to happen "x" months before the full release (almost to the day). For example, I think there were trailers for COS about 6, 3 and 1 or 2 months before the opening date. The book covers for OOTP were released 3 months before release. The first POA trailer came out 6 months before the movie; the latest was 4 months before (although this was more like the mini trailer that was released for COS). So while I'm in no place to promise anything, I'm looking forward to March/April/May 4th. Here's hoping...
And congrats to John Williams - I think I'd love to write such great music for films one day... Bring on the POA soundtrack! (No pressure John! Good luck to him.)

Whoohoo! Another trailer! I wonder what movie they'll put it in front of? I don't care what it'll be because I'm still gonna go see it. It's cool seeing the films on the big screen. But the one thing that I want is new footage. That's the best part of them. Like the one in the Super Bowl. I loved the cleaning lady that's like "I'll come back later" That was awesome!

Woweeeeeeeeee! I really hope it's got good footage--real pics of the Potters would be awesome...
John Williams is an awesome composer--I've seen him conducting the Boston Pops. However, my favorite composer is still Howard Shore.

More trailers would be good! Maybe they can accidentally release the entire movie early?? That would be bloody brilliant! Probably too much to ask for however. But hey, accidents happen...

First of all I have always loved the music for the movies. Second, I am so happy they are making another trailer! Hopefully it will be longer then the last one. It was a good trailer, but way to short!

SpazzingDuck - John Williams did not write the music for the second film. While the score was based off of his original music in film one, someone else arranged and scored the second film. Which explains why you are not so impressed with the second film's music... I always thought it did not sound original enough to be new music, too...
I love John Williams and his music. I have been a fan since I can remember, first hearing his compositions in Star Wars, Superman and Jaws. His films keep getting better, his music stronger. He looks great in the photo!
Here's to 4 more films with John Williams heading the music department!

HOORAY! more trailers = happy me! The last trailer was a good trailer... for a first one i guess. I mean, I was ecstatic when it came out, because everyone was practically salivating over any HP news, but it was a bit short, and the whole song/chorus w/ frogs thing confused me a bit. I hope this one is a little (or a lot:)..) longer than the previous one...
Hope hope..
