According to the John Williams Fan Network
the soundtrack for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban will be released on CD in May - one month before the release of the movie.
Mr. Williams is currently finishing the score which he will then record in London next month. The first teaser trailer of the film featured the song Something Wicked This Way Comes which was composed and recorded by Williams last year.
On another note, Williams is to receive the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films Lifetime Achievement Award during the 30th Annual Saturn Awards, to be held on May 5. His body of work includes Jaws, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, the Star Wars trilogy, Superman: The Movie, and the recent Harry Potter films.

I am a soundtrack person, I love soundtracks, I own more soundtracks than normal CD's, well, not becuase I only own two CD's, Clay Aiken and the Strokes, but I listen to my sister's soundtracks a lot! Does that count?

I believe they are releasing the soundtrack for Prisoner of Azkaban a month befoe the actual film is released to market the film for the audience who does not hold much regard for the the series. I will undoubtedly buy this CD the week of its release to add to my collection. I hope John William's score for Prisoner is nothing like that of the previous two...

Wow I can't wait to hear this all the way through instead of in bits and pieces on the movie trailers. My daughter goes through the house singing "Double Double toil and trouble something wicked this way comes." It kind of sticks in your head it will be nice to know the rest of the song . I will definitely buy the soundtrack I already have the first 2. As I am sure so does everybody here does. Be obsessed with Harry Potter like we all are, here a HAPANA!

I heard that it's actually released in June for the states. I was hoping that I could get it by the end of may cause I'm leaving the country then but I guess not. I'm actually curious about this soundtrack. I hope that it's more original that CoS.
