Unsuspecting Harry Potter fans awoke today to find their favorite sites and communities overrun with tomfoolery, in celebration of April Fool's day. The event has become a stalwart tradition in the HP fandom.
Sites who joined in the fun today include:
, who's playing the part of Tom the innkeeper (of the actual Leaky Cauldron, no less!) in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Tom (a.k.a. Jim) posted throughout the day wondering what all these people were doing in his pub, chatting incessantly about Harry Potter. They were also able to promote Jim's upcoming marathon in support of the British Dyslexia Association.
, which would be a combination of BBC's The Office and include cast members from the Harry Potter films.
, where customers could order from a full spectrum of offerings from the Harry Potter-financed operation. Very well-done.

Today I was fooled 3 times, and one was in homeroom and the whole class was laughing at me! It was embaressing, but I had alot of fun today. All of the pranks pulled by the major Harry Potter fan-sites for April Fool's Day on their readers gave me a pleasant, amusing, and yet still disturbing -- for a minute before six in the morning I worried about what may have happened to HPANA until I realized that, after checking my e-mail inbox, today was April Fool's Day -- surprise, especially the hilarious articles from the moderators for HPANA wrote for PNN, such as the one article in which Hermione, by using a Time-Turner, transfigured Tom Riddle into a sock puppet... permanently while he was attending Hogwarts as a first year, thereby changing the very course of the Wizarding world, as well as the Knight Bus crashing into the Leaky Cauldron, killing Hagrid and Tom the Inkkeeper. I applaud the sites for going to such trouble to give their fans a laugh. Did anyone read the two fake articles about the production of the films at Godric's Hollow? Priceless, they were.
Cheeser, I know this is a lot to do, but could you in any way keep adding humorous articles to PNN submitted from readers and moderators alike? I'd hate to not see something like it for another year!

I espeicially loved the one about the Time-Turner... that was halarious... I've heard of some nice jokes today, although the most suprising ones aren't fit to be posted on here.
I agree with Disturbed Denethor, these articles should keep going all year. It's a shame to wait until next Jour de poisson!
That reminds me... I forgot to do the fish thing to my French teacher...
