reports that John Malkovich could be playing Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which currently has a running time for the script of up to four hours according to a newspaper report.
Malkovich is well known for playing bad guys in films and will share the role with a computer-generated image of the villain.
According to the Daily Express newspaper:
He will only play Voldemort once the character has regained strength in the film though. At the start of the fourth book, Voldemort has been reduced to a small, helpless creature, which will be created by a computer.
Warner Bros. has not confirmed or denied this rumor yet, but we'll update as soon as we hear anything.
UPDATE: CBBC Newsround are now reporting that 'Warner Bros has killed off the rumor that actor John Malkovich will play Lord Voldemort in the Goblet Of Fire.' Very fast denial by Warner Bros & considering that the Daily Express was the paper to report this story first, I would take the movie length as rumor also.

Darn! He would have been a really good Voldemort. oh well. They'll find someone good for the part. I hope the movie is like four hours long because whenever I go to a regular movie of Harry Potter, it seems like five minutes. It's weird.

Thank goodness it's a rumor. He is not my favorite actor. Not that he is unskilled, I just don't like him much. But I wouldn't mind the 4 hour time on GOF. A lot of stuff happens in that movie and I think it will be hard to address if it gets much shorter than that.

I am a big John Malkovich fan, but not for this or any other role in Harry Potter! They should stick with a British cast, (or whatever nationality is written in for the books) I think it adds so much to the atmosphere and authenticity.
As for the four hour GoF, we can only hope!! How can we ever convince the powers that be that a longer movie is the only way to go? Just tell me where to sign, I'm there!

Oh! No! No! Not an American for Voldemort. The casting people have done an excellent job so far at keeping it to Brits as actors. It should remain all British to keep it in line with the books.
I am not bashing Americans (I personally love John Malkovich and think he is a great actor) . . . but there are many great British actors who could do the part excellently.

I pictured voldemort really strange looking, so i don't think they'll ever make him quite as creepy as i imagined him, but once they put a bunch of makeup and stuff on him, he'll probably look alot more like Voldemort.
