reports that John Malkovich could be playing Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which currently has a running time for the script of up to four hours according to a newspaper report.
Malkovich is well known for playing bad guys in films and will share the role with a computer-generated image of the villain.
According to the Daily Express newspaper:
He will only play Voldemort once the character has regained strength in the film though. At the start of the fourth book, Voldemort has been reduced to a small, helpless creature, which will be created by a computer.
Warner Bros. has not confirmed or denied this rumor yet, but we'll update as soon as we hear anything.
UPDATE: CBBC Newsround are now reporting that 'Warner Bros has killed off the rumor that actor John Malkovich will play Lord Voldemort in the Goblet Of Fire.' Very fast denial by Warner Bros & considering that the Daily Express was the paper to report this story first, I would take the movie length as rumor also.

I honestly have never seen any of his movies so I don't know if he would be a good fit for Voldemort. I'm sure they will make a good choice for it though. I'll have to watch some of his movies to find out more about him!

I personally believe that Malkovich can totally play Voldemort! He certainly has the cold and sinister look that is neede to play Voldemort. He's a great actor and who cares if he's from Illinois (I'm from Chicago)? It's about who can play this character to it's best!

I don't think he really looks the part.
But they do use a lot of makeup now...
I mean, look at Dan in some of the pictures! He's practically wearing blush and lipstick!

I have just finished listening to the US Audio Book of SS and the picture of Jim Dale shows the type for Voldemort. Mr. Dale is very thin and was born in the British Isles. The only drawback to him is that he has an impish face. The only acting I have seen him do was Barnum on the Broadway Stage and a couple of Disney movies and he's good.

John Malkovich as Voldemort? He is an excellent actor no doubt, but he is so not perfect for this role. He's too old and too american. And the duration of the movie will be 4 hours? I would rather watch this on DVD, then, in the comfort of my own home, rather than watching it in the cineplex.
