British newspapers the Sunday Mirror and The Express are reporting that the roles of Cho Chang and Madam Maxime have been cast for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The Sunday Mirror is reporting
that the part of Cho Chang will be played by Katie Leung, 16, who is from Scotland and who beat out more than 4,000 girls for the part and according to a movie insider:
"Harry develops a crush on Cho in the Goblet of Fire. It is fair to say that she becomes his first- ever girlfriend, so it's an important part.
"The film producers and author J. K. Rowling were keen to get a complete unknown for the part of Cho Chang and Katie's absolutely perfect. She's pretty, bright and one can see why Harry would have a crush on her. She has a glittering career ahead of her."

Also, according to last week's British newspaper, The Express, the role of Madam Maxime is to be played by Audrey Tautou who is close to final negotiations with Warner Bros.
According to The Leaky Cauldron:
" Harry Potter giant Hagrid has found his mate - in Amelie actress Audrey Tautou. The French beauty is in final negotiations to star in Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire as school mistress Madame Maxine, an 8 ft giantess who steals the heart of Hagrid, played by Robbie Coltrane. My source says: "Madame Maxine is this huge ugly giant whom everyone else finds terrifying. But the gag is that when Hagrid looks at her, all he sees is the beautiful Audrey Tatou."
These rumors have still to be confirmed by Warner Bros. and we will update as soon as we can.

I get the joke, that Hagrid is the only one who thinks Maxime is beautiful. That happens in real life, either because of a difference in looks or personality, you think, what does this person see in him (or her)? Especially since she doesn't treat Hagrid very nicely, does she? But I didn't think her appearance, other than her size, was an issue in the book. I'll have to look it up again.

And for Cho Chang, the picture isn't quite clear. I was supposed to get to the auditions but I have to fly in to London just for that and I still had classes then. But really, I've seen the other finalists and not all of them are what people envision Cho to be like. Oh come on, I could have pushed through with the auditions and be on the finalists, for real. Now I know what -regret- just because it had just hit me hard. Oh well. Good luck to Katie Leung!

Okay, I have a hard time imagining Audrey as the Madam since she's such a young person. We'll have to see if this is really the case. :-) As far as the Cho Chang actress, she looks like she's a realy cutie pie and lucky for her in book 5 she get's Harry's first on screen kiss, if they show it. :-P

Well, I'm not sure about her for Cho. I mean, sure she's Asian, but from those pictures she doesn't look very pretty. But Madame Maxim is pretty good, it's just hard to picture without the makeup and stilts and everything!
