The official site
for JK Rowling has been completely revamped.
Gone is the list of her publishers worldwide. The site is now filled with information that will interest all fans of Harry Potter including news on book 6.
Check out how her venture into MuggleNet's chat room went and if you're especially smart you may be able to navigate her site to find out some clues about book 6.
Her welcome note:
“Until very recently, JKRowling.com was a list of links to my publishers – boring, I think you’ll agree. So I thought I’d liven it up a little.
I received so many thousands and thousands of letters these days that it is impossible to read, let alone answer, them all. A proper website seems like a great way to communicate directly with Harry Potter fans. Everything on here was written by ME, J.K. Rowling. This is where I can tell you the truth about rumours or news stories, where I can share the extra information I Haven’t put in the books, where I can give you hints and clues about what’s going to happen to Harry next, and where I can announce I’ve finished book six…and no, that’s not going to happen very soon.
Occasionally the Dark Mark will flash at you. This is a SPOILER WARNING. It refers only to information hidden in book five, The Order of the Phoenix - if you haven’t yet finished reading the other four, proceed at your peril!
Anyway, I really hope you enjoy wandering around my desk (which was specially tidied for your visit). Don’t know anything over, please. And watch out for Peeves.

I wonder if anyone can help me though? I only have three items in my sketch book. I've got the phone one, the one were you collect the items and the one in the trophy case but I can't for the life of me find the fourth one.

It's a wonderful concept: each section with its own "page" so beautifully designed (the writer's desk, the notes-board, the trophy-chamber, the library...) ...with all those hidden clues for the scrapbook... -it's just WONDERFUL!
And the information is precious!!! -the NEWS (with that encouraging tip for the regular visitors, that they'll find more about book 6 if they'll "work out where to look"!!), the ANSWERS to certain RUMOURS, the ExtraStuff about CUT SCENES and about SOME CHARACTERS (Crookshanks, the Weasleys..., Ginny's full name, Hermione's birthday..!!!) .....
But my favourite surprise was the Fan Site Award, where J.K.R. talks about SIRIUS BLACK and......HOW SEXY HE IS!! -I simply have to quote: "The best-looking, most rebellious, most dangerous of the four marauders..." !!!!!!!! MMMMMM..... -And then she reveals that HIS EYES ARE GREY!!!
So.... folks, just one more thing and then I'll shut up! : PLEASE, go to the F.A.Q Poll and vote for the question "IS SIRIUS REALLY DEAD?" to be answered next!!! (It's the one hidden under the Dark Mark!) PLEEEEEEEAASE!!!!!

Ok, well i have been to the site and i want to tell everyone not to vote for the "is sirius really dead?" question because jkr has already said that sirius is dead. It would be a waste of a question... i voted for the mark evans question because im very curious to know if he is significant in later books.And the third certificate you get, hana, is in the links section behind the book with a question mark on it. And about the bloody door.... i beleive it is really a fake just to make you waste away in front of it. If you think bout the mirror next to the door as representing the mirror of erised, then it will make sense.what you see is what you most desire, an open door. And as i see it, many people are already wasting away in front of it... thats why i think its just a little message that miss rowling is sending us. That or she just hasnt made anything behind it yet. She did say that future visitors would learn more about book 6 if they knew where to look... well, seems like a perfect place to put a book 6 clue center.
