Warner Bros. has announced that the role of Victor Krum in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be played by Bulgarian teen Stanislav Yanevski. Stanislav lives in London and turned out to be the favorite choice of Mike Newell.
If true, this debunks rumors spreading around the web last week that a boy from Scotland had won the role. As of now no official word has come from Warner Bros. and when it does we will update accordingly.

Ppphh. It won't be my Viktor Krum, no matter. To me, Viktor has and always will look just like my boyfriend. He's from Bulgaria, too, and he's got the black hair, broken-ish looking nose, and he's that sort of ruggedly handsome guy who, even when I didn't know him, is exactly what Viktor should look like.
Still, I hope this guy's good. The casting department has been able to scare up some great talent, evident from Daniel, Emma, Rupert, Tom and the rest. Hopefully they'll be just as on-target with Stanislav Yanevski or that boy from Scotland.
