Let the rumors continue. In yet another article that will surely have fans talking, the Daily Mail from the UK is reporting
that Ralph Fiennes
is in talks to play Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire which is currently filming.
This of course follows previous reports that Rowan Atkinson and John Malkovich had also been in negotiations for the role, both of which have been denied by the powers that be.
Please note that this is a rumor and I'm sure won't be the last, and as with all rumors has to be confirmed by Warner Bros. We will update if we hear anything.

Ricky Ricardo says:
He kind of looks like Voldemort. Not really though. Maybe when he's in makeup and stuff he'll look more like Voldemort.

I agree with some that John Malkovich would make a kick-butt Voldemort. However, he isn't English, so that is out of question. This dude does look scary as a monkey in the pic on mugglenet, though, so he may do well.

Not sure if he fits the bad guy role very much. But hey I guess he could riase to the occasion we have seen other actors pull these type of changes off before.

I think it'll be okay.Ralph has been playing dark rolls like in Hannibal, and others movies,he doesn't do it so bad.
He's a mysterious man,and Voldemort is,so,why can't it be?

I think with a little bit of makeup to make him look evil. I think that he would be absolutely perfect for the part of Voldemort. I can't wait for the movie. But I'm not going to expect much seeing how I was let down so much with "The Prinsoner of Azkaban." That was my favorite book of all, and I feel it has now been ruined by the movies. My friends and I laugh at some of the things in it. I think that if they hadn't added in completely irrelevent things like singing toads and candy that makes you sound like elephants and they added in the relevant good parts to the story, I would've liked it better.

He looks too sweet to play Voldie..or at least that's what I think. I don't want to say he can't play a bad guy (I have seen RED DRAGON and he is demented in there)but he's just too...sweet. Any other candidates?

I'm not familiar with this actor...but in the picture, he looks like he could play Voldemort. It is probably a difficult role because to be totally bad.

Whomever they pick needs to step it up and be really good if they want any respect for playing Voldermort because he is a key person in the books.

I hope they make whoever plays him look very frightening. If they look too normal... it won't seem real.

Too bad this is only a rumor. I think Ralph Fiennes would play a excellent part as Lord Voldemort because other parts he has played were very dark and evil. If this is true, it's a great choice!

I have full confidence in whoever they choose to play him. They've picked perfectly for every single role so far and whats to say they screw up on the main vilan? But....why don't they just use the same guy that did the voice in the first movie. Wouldn't that make sence?

I'm so glad we're past the John Malkovich rumours. Ralph Finnes could be great, but Voldemort isn't really human until the very end. I think Finnes could be creepy, but he needs to be extra creepy. Even still at the end when Voldemort re-forms his body, do we really even see his face? How do you imagine it? Bottom line is - the actor better be British!

they turned down Malkovich???? What in the world were they thinking? Malkovich has the acting ability, and the look to turn the Fil version of Voldemort into our generations Count Dracula, Silence of the Lambs, and Jeremy Piven the Dean from Old School.
