Tom Felton
(Draco) from the Harry Potter movies had his first fan club meeting at London's Chelsea Football Club yesterday and CBBC Newsround has a report as well as some pictures from the event.
Tom had invited a selection of fans by letter/phone and his website to come and meet him in person and had this to say about the turnout:
"I am really happy with the turnout. You can tell how much some people really want to be here, because they can't speak!"
Also dawniky's has a LiveJournal report & pictures posted about her experience. Thanks to Mugglenet for the tip.
Update: Tom has updated his website with pictures and an entry about the day's events.

Even a letter or email inviting you to go must havebeen amazing for all the people who went, rather than just turning up and queing for hours to see him, but rather get an invite! I wish i lived nearer to chelsea, id have loved to have gone..but i think i would have been one of those speachless people! :)

Isn't that a bit conceited of him to do that? I mean, it's one thing if a fan sets this thing up and invites Tom to come, but him setting up his own Fan Club?

I would have love to have been there. I live in America though and was deprived of the chance. I hope to meet him some day even if have to go to England just to do so! He seems like a really nice person that would be nice to talk to.

Oh wow, that is cool that he is so dedicated to his fans. If i went i would like, be fainting all over the place. Too bad I live in the US and not in the UK. I love his website, and he had notifications on it about the fan-club meeting. Did anyone notice in one of the pics Tom had a lady next to him that had a shirt on that said "Tom's Mum"? I thought that was cute.
