Many new Web sites have sprung up dedicated to Katie Leung since it was announced that she had been cast as Cho Chang in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but Warner Bros. is now insisting
that the Katie Leung blogs that have recently appeared on the internet were not written by her.
Fake blog entries supposedly written
by Katie have surfaced which means that fans can be easily duped into believing that they are communicating with the star. A few months ago a fan thought they were communicating with Daniel & agreed to meet him in England after traveling from Chile, of course this was an imposter, as Daniel never communicates
with his fans this way. So please be careful, if you think you talking to someone from the movies - you're not & please don't give out personal information to anyone you don't know.

Do they have nothing to do besides doing pranks like that? It's useless and so time consuming.

This is what's wrong with society today. An imposter can take advatage of a die-hard fan just to take advatage and put down the fan.

Its just wrong to lie like that. I feel bad for the people who got fooled.

I don't understand why anyone would want to fake being someone famous.... and why would anyone fall for thinking they're actually talking to them. Oh well.... I wonder if Katie will make a public statement and let us know what she really thinks about it all.

Ok, who can safely say that, while chatting, they went and spewed all God honest truth about themselves *all* the time! Now that said, when you're typing away a little discussion with someone famous who is supposedly supposed to be busy with filming and school work and all that rot...wouldn't you get a little suspicious?
That doesn't mean I condone such an appalling use of another persons name...my question is, what is it that one does to drive themselves so low...go get a job and a life to boot!

I wouldnt have done anything if i did believe that it was them talking anyways. The imposters that set up the blogs do it for some stupid reason probably and have a lot of free time on their hands.

How lame. What sort of person would have the time to pull that kind of a stunt! Not only do most people not care about Katie (beings she hasn't been in the movies yet, when GoF comes out there will be tons of fan sites!)but it doesn't seem like a good start for her if there are already people trying to impersonate her.

I don't understand why someone would do that. It's just rude and dishonest. They're just using all the fans out there to have a little fun. I just don't understand it. It's kind of a scary thought though, like the fan with Danny.

That sure isn't a nice thing to do. You know, it probably is illegal to claim to be someone you're not like that and try to make people believe the real person is saying those things. Just shows that you must always be cautious about believing who someone is. Stick to official websites and sources.

People shouldn't trick other people into believing that they are the actor it's not right to lie to people like that. But at least people now know have be more precaution for the next time and not to believe anyone who calims to be the actor.
