JK Rowling announced on her web site
this morning that she's expecting a third child, due next year.
"Fingers crossed of course, I don't foresee any baby-related interruptions or delays," she said. "Let me reassure you that book six remains well on track."
The author, who has sold over 260 million Potter books worldwide, said she always wanted three children. "I could not be happier," she added.
Of the recently announced sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince:
Now, I know that many Harry Potter fans first reaction will be what does this mean for the timing of book six? (I'm not maligning you… I'm sure you're happy for me... but I know you really want that book!) So let me reassure you that book six remains well on track.
I still can't say for sure when it will be finished, but I have written a lot and I really like it (a reckless challenge to fate, that; I bet the next chapter goes horribly wrong now).

Oh wow, good for her! Three kids...... cool. Now imagine how famous they are going to be! I wonder what she'll name this one?!?!??! She'll probably have to figure out if it's a boy or a girl first though I guess.

Congratulations to JK!!!! I wonder wether it will be a boy or girl, and what she'll call it. And it's good news thay the baby won't delay book 6. Maybe that means it will be out before January!!!! The only downside is that book 7 will surley now be delayed!!!!!

I really seriously hope that this doesn't make book six come out any slower! I'm already dying just waiting this long for it! I read the fifth one in two and a half nights! I don't know if I can wait much longer for the sixth one to come out! I am really happy for her though! That's great that she's having a kid, maybe she'll name it Hermione or something... I guess we'll see!

WHOA!!! When I think of J.K. Rowling having another kid, a lot of questions come to my mind...
#1-Who is the father?
#2-Is it a boy or a girl?
#3-Is Rowling going to finish the book before the baby is born... or not?
Many more where that one came from...
I really do hope that Rowling finishs the 6th book, because if she doesn't, and she has a baby, that may make less time to write the book, causing the book to be delayed... for a long time. I would just HATE that... I LOVE Rowling's books.
Among from all the hustle and bustle of my thoughts about all this, I'm really happy for her and her family. Still, I'm wondering...
WHO IS THE FATHER?
The world may never know... even though I want to terribly!!! Hope that the news comes out soon.

That's pretty cool that she's having another baby. I'm happy for her that her life is going so well now. What will be really cool, is if the book comes out the same day the baby is born. That would be a weird coincedence. I'm glad that the book is going well and that she likes what she has written. I hope she continues to do well and the book will be a great success!
