She answers questions about Arthur Weasley (Ron's dad), Tom Riddle (the future Voldemort) and what is the relation between Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (book 2) and the upcoming book six.
Why are some people in the wizarding world (e.g., Harry) called 'half-blood' even though both their parents were magical?
The expressions 'pure-blood', 'half-blood' and 'Muggle-born' have been coined by people to whom these distinctions matter, and express their originators' prejudices. As far as somebody like Lucius Malfoy is concerned, for instance, a Muggle-born is as 'bad' as a Muggle. Therefore Harry would be considered only 'half' wizard, because of his mother's grandparents.
If you think this is far-fetched, look at some of the real charts the Nazis used to show what constituted 'Aryan' or 'Jewish' blood. I saw one in the Holocaust Museum in Washington when I had already devised the 'pure-blood', 'half-blood' and 'Muggle-born' definitions, and was chilled to see that the Nazis used precisely the same warped logic as the Death Eaters. A single Jewish grandparent 'polluted' the blood, according to their propaganda.

Remember when Ron said somthing along the lines of 'We have as much of a chance of winning the cup as dad becoming misister of magic' well... they won the cup, so lets have Dad, be M.O.M.

The relation between the DE and the Nazis was obvious from the start.. of course depending on the reader's age! I think it has something to do about Gryffindor definetely.. it may be Hagrid as well, far-fetched but maybe. I haven't read "Chamber" in a while, I tend to re-read "Prisoner" and books 4 and 5 of course we will all be running now to read "Chamber" again.

That could deffinitely be it! I cannot think of anything else (at this moment) that could be it. After all, when Harry and his parents were in hiding, the hid in "Godric's Hollow" (didn't they?!).
Well, I guess we'll find out when (or if) the sixth book comes out!

Rachel Marsters says:
"Now, given the conclusions on the "How Prophcies work" page, we could say that no matter what Harry does or what his friends to, either Harry or Voldemort WILL die in the end, slaughtered by the other. In the back of my mind I keep remembering Dumbledore's words that choices are the things that make us who we are, so perhaps this part of the prophecy can be changed, disproving the ideas about prophecies being the absolute and concrete truth of what will happen."
I just read this on mugglenet and I started thinking of Magneto(reformed his ways and after Xavier dies runs his school) And what if this happened between Dumbledore and Voldemort? Like something happened where Harry and Voldemort didn't have to kill each other to live?

It's amazing how the books can relate to real life and history so much without sounding anything like a textbok... it makes the books seem more real I guess, JK is a genious!

I think that Duduley is the half-blood prince because of that message from Dumbledore to Petunia. But just a crazy theory. And I would never be able to find hints from COS about HBP- clues could be dancing in front of my face and i wouldn't see them! Other than that I don't know about any princes and I can't wait to find out. To me it doesnt matter who becomes the next Minister just as long as it's not Voldemort (or any of his followers) or Umbridge *shudder*. I also want to know what happened to UMbridge and the Weasley twins.

I didn't really care about tom or the Half Blood Price, but Mr. Wealsey isn't going to be the Minister of Magic, ahhhhhhrrrrggggggg! I so wanted the Weasley's to be repayed for their constant loyalty "to being true to themselves", and not some sell-out's like the Malfoys.

Well I didn't think Riddle is the HBP, but I thought Arthur could be the Minister. Until now. Again we must think this thing all over again...

There are many clues around and when we read the book, I bet we'll remember something from Chamber of Secrets that relates to Half Blood Prince.

Zhenya says:
When JK tells us that Arthur Weasley will not be the Minister for Magic, she says 'Alas'. That sounds like Dumbledore. Is it a reference? Or am I trying too hard to squeeze information out of a two-word answer?
Maybe she just likes using the word 'alas'. It's a fun word.
....
(I know, this is silly, Dumbledore woudn't leave Hogwarts, right, and he would need to do that to become Minister, right? I know.)
