, Warner Bros. today confirmed that Miranda Richardson and Ralph Fiennes have been cast as Rita Skeeter and Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Ralph Fiennes (Red Dragon, Maid in Manhattan, Schindler's List) and Miranda Richardson (The Hours, Sleepy Hollow, The Crying Game) have joined the all-star cast of Warner Bros. Pictures' Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's popular Harry Potter novel series. Fiennes will play Harry Potter's nemesis, the evil Lord Voldemort, and Richardson takes on the role of muckraking journalist Rita Skeeter.
Previously cast as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Mad-Eye Moody is Irish actor Brendan Gleeson, who can currently be seen in M. Night Shyamalan's latest film, The Village. CBBC Newsround also points out that Richardson played Hermione for Comic Relief.

Wow, I'm glad that the rumors of Fiennes as Lord Voldemort are true. A pat on the back to the casting directors for adding another British male hottie to the HP cast! And Fiennes is perfect for playing the Dark Lord...he gave me shivers during "Schindler's List!"

This is the best HP news in a long time. I like the actor they chose for Moddy, but was hoping for Anthony Hopkins or Patrick Stewart. This new news makes me very excited again---I can't wait to see them as the baddies in this film.

Well i'm gald that they are casting Miranda Richardson for Rita Skeeter, she would be good at playing the part of an annoying journalist. But I think that I will be more impressed with Ralph Fiennes playing Voldemort. He's a really good actor and he has a pretty face, but I can see a scary evil side of him as well. I guess I'll realy see it when the movie comes out in theaters. CAN'T WAIT TILL THAT HAPPENS!

I was so afraid that they would choose Rowan Atkinson to play Voldie, as the rumour said. Rowan always play a funny character, and Voldie is not funny at all. I think Fiennes is the one good choice, I've seen the 3 movies mentioned above, and he's kinda cool.
As for Miranda, she'll be a good Rita.
