The paperback version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix comes out today (Tuesday, Aug. 10) with a first printing
of 2 million as well as a "sky-high promotional campaign" by Scholastic Inc., the U.S. publisher.

That's great news!! Some people probably didn't want to buy the hardback edition because it is so expensive. Now people can get OOTP much cheaper! I may have to go and buy a paperback copy so it is easier to carry it around with me!

That is good to see. There was no way that a Book 6 release date would be given until after the release. They would not want to hurt sales or distract from it. Now, maybe we will hear a date in a month or two.

Great, just one more think to buy! But I think that these are just American soft covers, seeing that the picture is of the American version, and that Scholastic is doing the advertising.
Speaking of which, they're having planes hover overhead? A little too much advertising, wouldn't you think? :)

That's great, people who haven't bought it yet can buy it for a cheaper price. But most people read the fifth book already so i don't know if they'd buy it now.

sorry, at the moment I am quite content with the hardcover copy I have, even if it is neck-breaking. I would give anything for HBP instead and anyone who knows me on this site knows that quite well:)

Im glad hard covered books come out first. Paperbacks end up all weird by the time im done with them, and by weird i mean dont close all the way.

I am so glad that the paperback is coming out because I don't have my first copy and I would like to read it again, but the article didn't say how much it would cost.

Coolness. Well I got meself the hardcover one. I always prefer the hard cover one since the paperback one gets bent. Like to keep my HP merchandise in good condition.

Like the hardcover better. So much easier to handle sometimes and plus the other one like gets all bended outta proportion
