Wow, there's so much new infomation! Most people knew that about Aberforth anyways, but I don't know what to think about those two questions she left us with! If you click on the link, it also tells us a bit about Petunia, nothing we couldn't have guessed though!

*Rolls Eyes* She answered more then she has ever answered before. Come on...in about 6-8 months you will probably know when the release day is and you can plan your party. Do you really need to plan a year in advance?

Keep in mind everyone that we don't have the full chat transcript yet so there might be more information yet for us to read. It seems that HPANA just posted up the biggest and most relevant.
Also, a lot of people seem to be confusing what was said in this post. JK did not say Harry is going to make it through all the books and live happily ever after. The exact wording used was that, "he would survive TO book seven." She didn't say if he'd make it through book 7.
Anyways, I think this information is great, and she did something I never expected. She actually told us about 2 questions we need to be considering. This is rare and I've never really known her to do this. Either she is just trying to get us to think harder about those questions than we need to, or we need to look even deeper at the questions and consider new possibilites!
^_^
Thanks JK!

I realy have to start watching news round more often! Ahh, why did she have to tell us harry survives!!? :( Thats ruined it for me now, we know he doesnt die and so wins! Ahhh! noo! Wish she never told us that :(
As for why Voldermort didnt die, i think snape made him a potion when he was a death eater, like his speach in the 1st book/film..bottle glorry, even stopper death...

Alcestis1 says:
Thestral Eyes, what JKR was quoted as saying was that Harry survives TO book 7 not THROUGH book 7, which, as I interpret it means that he survives through Half Blood Prince but may or may not make it to the end of book 7.
I also agree with Hecaton about her directly mentioning two questions fans should be asking...most interesting. And I'm also sure they're not so easily answered.

Ahh, right Alcestis1, thanks for clearing that up! tehe, i should read things more carefully...
I cant wait for the next books to come out, then i will be able to see if my snape theory is right or not :)
I prefere it when she tells us what questions should be asked, rather then giving us the answers :)

Argh, I am just so confused now! At least she gave some answers though, such as Aberforth definately being the Hogs Head barman.
Those two questions are interesting, will have to have a good look at those and mull them over!

Hey guys, I'm back from my vacation
well, ofcoarse he would survive to book seven. We wouldn't have a book seven if he didn't.
I'm kind of mad at myself that I didn't catch that alberforth was the Hog's Head bar-man. That seems so fitting now that I think back at it.
Ok, so.....McLagan, I'm thinking that it's the New DADA teacher. He / she could be a "Former Hogwarts Student" that just graduated from the Auror Acadamy and is now teaching DADA.

And I was sure JKR was going to tell us the release date at the festival! :( At least we know Harry will survive through the books; I never considered him dieing (is that how you spell that?) before the end of the seventh book.
