Many fans awoke today to news that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling had taken down the "Do Not Disturb" sign once again on a door at her official site
.
At first it appears to be an empty room, but there's a bit more to it than that, and the prize is certainly worth the trouble. Here are step-by-step instructions for those who can't be bothered to figure it out on their own:
Highlight the following block of text to read the excerpt here: He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp.
Thanks to everyone who let us know!

Well, i guess it would be interesting if it were a new character, but i have a couple ideas as to who jo is describing.....it could possibly be mad eye moody, as he does have a limp or it could be a boy's animagus...im not too sure, but im thinkin if it were an animagus, then it might be a sphinx...because they have a lions head and yellow eyes i think....but a sphinx is a girl, so therefore itd have to be a boy's animagus.....well the second possibility is way far-fetched, but any idea at this point could be considered.

Oh my gosh! yay! I haven't been on the site for about a week [sad, i know] and i just saw it! yay [again]!
i am almost positive that he's the new DADA professor. because if it was a student...i don't know, he sounds sort of old. He has "grey hair". That does not sound like a student.
i almost died of shock and hyperventilation when i saw this [my brother can attest to this]. i cant wait for more!

Niiicceee! New character, always interested to read about those! I agree with "Albus Dumbledore." Its probably Godric Gryffindor, because of the description given. If it is, that's another good reason why I am getting more and more anxious to read HBP!

does this mean that theres going to be another incident like that with "scabbers"/pettigrew? Im asking because when i read this for some reason I keep thinking of crookshanks... i mean i know he is part kneazle... but could he be a animagus or shape-shifter who happens to turn into a cat that is part kneazle? I wanna know who this is!!!! (cant wait for book 6!)

That is most likely talking about McLagan. That's what I'm guessing. I'm also guessing that he is either the Half-blood prince or the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor.
