Many fans awoke today to news that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling had taken down the "Do Not Disturb" sign once again on a door at her official site
.
At first it appears to be an empty room, but there's a bit more to it than that, and the prize is certainly worth the trouble. Here are step-by-step instructions for those who can't be bothered to figure it out on their own:
Highlight the following block of text to read the excerpt here: He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp.
Thanks to everyone who let us know!

I checked out the site, but by the time I joined HPANA the do not disturb sign was already back up, but i looked at the screen shots and the excerpt was fairly short. I didn't get too much out of it, but my guess is that the person discribed is going to be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. I hope he's a good teacher and I can't wait for the new book to come out.

I think its a new character because it doesnt fit any old characters.also about crookshanks and aberforth both are not the half blood prince because JKR said that aberforth is the inn keeper of hogs head and crookshanks is not a animagus but half cat and half kneazle.

I'm not sure who, but someone pointed out that the description of the lion-like man sounded a lot like the first description of Mad-Eye Moody.

I agree with everyone elce. It's probably either the half blooded prince or the new DADA teacher. Either way, i can't wait for the book to come out. I heard it could be comming out as soon as December. I hope that's true!!!

Yeah it has to be either the HBP or the new DADA teacher, it would be getting too late in the series for JK to introduce semi-important people. I always had a feeling that Albus Dumbledore would take over the DADA teaching position.

I hope that next time the door opens it'll be easier to get to the information (I had to cheat and use Mugglenets advice - leaving me rather annoyed at my lack of brains).
I reckon it's the new DADA teacher. Not sure whether she'd give a description of the HBP away that easily though...

From reading this excerpt, I noticed that the description is in past tense. Naturally, This means that it happened sometime in the past and is referring to person in the past and cannot refer to the new DADA professor b/c it's history. Maybe Harry saw him in Dumbeldore's memories.
This guy didn't look like a person but like a old lion.
He cannot be the new DADA professor

James Potter does and did not have bushy eyebrows, nor yellowish eyes, so, ewww. Maybe, it's Harry looking at himself when he's all grown up. The limp is from his fight with Voldemort, and he got yellowish eyes, because Voldemort permanently changed him!
That is my contribution.
