sends word that a woman on Radio France claimed that one of her relatives is working for the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire taking care of ferrets. The obvious passage with Mad-Eye Moody and Draco Malfoy comes to mind:
This morning, on a French radio report (Radio France), a woman was interviewed and she said some things about the 4th Harry Potter set, and especially about the animals training on the set. It seems that one of her relatives is working now in Oxford and is taking care of ferrets for some scenes in GoF.
Clearly, you can think about the Malfoy/Moody scene, but that's only a deduction - time will tell. And it can also be cut at the end of the filming, but we all know now that there is a possibility that we can see this famous scene in [the movie].
In the book - the fourth in JK Rowling's series - the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Mad-Eye Moody turns Draco Malfoy into a ferret briefly:
Harry spun around. Professor Moody was limping down the marble staircase. His wand was out and it was pointing right at a pure white ferret, which was shivering on the stone-flagged floor, exactly where Malfoy had been standing.
...
"Don't talk to me," Ron said quietly to Harry and Hermione as they sat down at the Gryffindor table a few minutes later, surĀrounded by excited talk on all sides about what had just happened.
"Why not?" said Hermione in surprise.
"Because I want to fix that in my memory forever," said Ron, his eyes closed and an uplifted expression on his face. "Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret."

That would be great. It is one of my favorite scenes. I would think it will make the cut, since there appears to be at least one scene in each movie, where Malfoy gets shown up.

Well, I won't get too excited about it just yet. For POA, they cast an owl to play Pigwidgeon -- but "Pig" still didn't make it on screen.
I do so hope that "Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret." makes it in. That is my favorite GOF scene of all-time!

It might not mean it will make the final cut but certainly I could see it as a deleted scene on DVD. If not, it is a humorous scene but if they do include it, I would love to see how it is performed on screen. It would be funny.

I truly hope this scene winds up being filmed and kept. My question though, is how are they going to portray Moody himself? I think Physically they have a lot of work on their hands with him insofar as making him look sinister but not diablolical. I wonder how Voldemort will be portrayed as well...

Now that is nice, ferrets are neat animals, and it would be great to see that scene in the movie. I sure hope it doesn't end up on the cutting room floor, or if it does that it is in the DVD extras section. I also hope this story isn't from another attention seeker.

Like Ron, I've held the "amazing bouncing ferret" picture in my head. Every time I read or view a passage with Draco Malfoy being the snit he is, I imagine Moody/Crouch bouncing him around. I love that vision. I can't wait to see it on the big screen.
