Along with news that longtime Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves would not be adapting the fifth JK Rowling novel, Emerson Spartz from MuggleNet
and Melissa Anelli from The Leaky Cauldron
recently returned from a visit to Leavesden Studios, and today revealed a few more tidbits about Goblet of Fire, currently in production there.
WB has asked us to not post our reports until a later date - probably January - but I will give you a few teasers here.
Take it for what you will, the Prefects' Bathroom scene with Harry and Myrtle HAS been shot.
GOF is, according to several of the people we spoke to, shaping up to be both funnier and darker than the previous three films.
A full report is promised early next year.

I'm glad the new movie will be a bit more darker an funnier. Having some humour is good...but I am looking forward to it being darker because I think the 4th installment is alot deeper than the rest.

Ooh, HalfNaked!Dan!! Wait...is it ok that I'm like, more than 10 years older than him and I want to see that? :) I am glad they're installing some humor into this movie because GoF was not a totally dark and serious book.

The more and more i hear about GOF, the more and more i wonder how long it really will be.
I mean, last i heard, it wasnt going to be much longer then POA, but, the way they are making it sound, it will be a very long one indeed.
Either that, or they are just cutting out all the important stuff...kinda like POA.

Interesting...I wonder if the movies are maturing the way the books are. After all, the first Harry Potter book was written in a far more child-like, or at least child-friendly, way than the more recent ones have been...perhaps the characters, the books and the movies are all growing together...:-)

It is not much of a surprise that it will be darker as the books are getting darker with each new year at Hogwarts. I can not wait for the report or the movie.

I am so glad they are moving right along with the film, I was hoping they weren't going to cut corners and it doesn't seem that they are. I'm really looking forward to the finished product.
