I pre-ordered mine as soon as i heard. i'm so excited.
but also, i just found out that a friend of mine works at a book store. does anyone know if the employees of a bookstore will get a crack at them perhaps a day or so before they are released to the public?
if so, then i'll cancel my pre-order and focus on receiving it early :)

ok its cool to preorder a book earlt and everything but it ruins some of the fun. why not wait until midnight of 7/16 and go up to Barnes and Nobles and get the book a little cheaper and have a good time with other harry potter nerds such as ourselves and take fun pictures and try and stump the harry potter genius that is there every year

Last time I lined up at my local department store waiting for them to open so I could get the book.
I don't know if anyone will have preordering of the book in Australia - I'll have to keep my eye out on the Angus & Robertson and Dymocks sites.
Wish we had a book store where I live, I can imagine it will be much more fun waiting at a bookstore rather than a department store. I might have to go into Adelaide and line up there (if I'm not working)...
I imagine it won't quite be the same as waiting in the UK, we get it released at 8.30 am, so there isn't the looong anticipation time of people lining up from the morning or midafternoon...

Yikes!
I tried to reserve/pre-order a copy of the book at the local Barnes&Noble bookstore yesterday but the guy at the info desk was looking at me as if I was a dork or some Harry Potter freak.
And hey, I am but a lot of the employees at bookstore tend to "look down" on a "chilish" book Humph! They are the morons! He made a half-hearted effort to see if the website was updated, and he said no! Um, HELLO, it was just announced on all of the bookstores websites and on TV.
Well, I'm just giving off some steam, I'll call the bookstore everyday until they tell me I can reserve a copy of the book!

Wow, I can't believe what a great discount Amazon is giving. I wonder how long the "sale" will be on. I need to order 2 of them tomorrow. And incidently did anyone else have trouble getting on to the site the past few days? I know too many people were trying to talk about the exciting news but I couldn't even get the site to come up for days!
