The current issue of Premiere magazine has published the first picture we’ve seen of Miranda Richardson
in costume as Rita Skeeter from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire which is currently filming.

Another year at Hogwarts, another director charge. As the first Englishman to direct a Potter flick, Mike Newell brings his own school days to bear as Harry faces not only his own fire-breathing dragons in the Triwizard Tournament but also his greatest challenge yet - the resurrection of Voldemort.
"This story is about the return of the being of evil," says Newell. "Harry is the vital ingredient for the potion which will bring Voldemort back." Like He-Who-Must Not-Be-Named, Daily Prophet hack Rita Skeeter makes her first appearance in this fourth installment of the series.
"She's completely brash and completely hateful," says Richardson, who likens Skeeter to 1930s gossip queen Hedda Hopper. "She's written the deal before she even gets there, really."

I think this great! I love Miranda in Snow White, i thought it was a very good version of the story. She will make a great Rita, and it'll be how i pictured her, as long as she has the glasses... that'll make me happy.

frankly, she was not who I expected to play the part. But I believe she will be fabulous in the role, and give us a real good impression of Skeeter. Now, I can't wait who they will pick for the part of Dolores Jane Umbridge for the next movie

Not quiet as I pictured her. But real close. The only thing really different is her hair color. But you can never have it 100% perfect. And as the Herry and Hermioney not in ropes. I wonder if it is not from a scene from a hogsmeed weekend? (sorry for the spelling)

Well it’s not how I imagined her but it still looks awesome. I can’t wait to see the movie. I’m probably wrong but I think it looks like “the First Task” because they are in a tent and Harry is wearing robes with the school logo on his chest but Hermione is in normal clothes.

Rita Skeeter is not so beautiful,and she seems older than she really is. At least, that's the way I imagined her: so artificial, with too much make up, trying to look young and attractive buit not managing it. However, they can always make Miranda Richardson look worse: remember Emma Thompson

But i have to say that Miranda Richardson isn't how i pictured Rita Skeeter... i pictured her a bit fat and old.
But i have to say that Miranda Richardson in costume as Rita Skeeter is amazing, she's very good for this role.

She's really a great choice for playing Rita Skeeter: Not exactly how I imagined , but still very good. (Her costume should have been red, right?)
Anyway, I can't wait to see the movie, there are so many new characters and all those special effects...
Why do everybody think Rita should have red hair? I am re-reading book 4 now and it says she has blond hair.
