The current issue of Premiere magazine has published the first picture we’ve seen of Miranda Richardson
in costume as Rita Skeeter from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire which is currently filming.

Another year at Hogwarts, another director charge. As the first Englishman to direct a Potter flick, Mike Newell brings his own school days to bear as Harry faces not only his own fire-breathing dragons in the Triwizard Tournament but also his greatest challenge yet - the resurrection of Voldemort.
"This story is about the return of the being of evil," says Newell. "Harry is the vital ingredient for the potion which will bring Voldemort back." Like He-Who-Must Not-Be-Named, Daily Prophet hack Rita Skeeter makes her first appearance in this fourth installment of the series.
"She's completely brash and completely hateful," says Richardson, who likens Skeeter to 1930s gossip queen Hedda Hopper. "She's written the deal before she even gets there, really."

I imagined the glasses to be a little more 50's ish, ya know, like large cat-eye glasses so we could see the colored gems, but otherwise, WOW!

Oh, my, oh, my. She is divine as Rita Skeeter. I definitely pictured her with some vibrant unnatural hair color since in OotP when we meet up with her again her roots are showing. I'm anxious to see She-of-the-Venomous-Quill in action on the big screen.

I imagined Rita looking alot different from what this director has imagined. But I know that Miranda Richardson is a really good actress, and she will do a great job.

Yes! This is how I have pictured Rita Skeeter. I love the fingernails. The only thing that is not really perfect to me are her glasses. I pictured them a little more glitzy with jewels. Maybe the jewels will show up better on screen.
