Director Garth Jennings reportedly told BBC Radio 1 just a few days ago that Rickman was to be the voice of Marvin the Android. Davis was confirmed earlier as the actor who will operate Marvin's robotic costume.
In the books, Marvin is a paranoid, terribly sarcastic character who is woefully unconcerned with the world around him. Rickman's casting has not been officially confirmed or announced (we'll keep you posted).
Thanks to Kate for the tip.

That would be cool thinking about watching that movie. I mean, Snapes voice with Flitwick's body. It would be sooo funny. Well at least to me.

I've never heard of that before but I think it sounds good. I think Rickman will be a great choice for it - Davis too.
P.S. Can anybody tell me how to get those cool HP gif animations?

Wasn't Warwick Davis in the movie "The 10th Kingdom"? I never heard of this movie they are doing though. But I guess it's good that they are doing something else. I recommend you all to see the 10th Kingdom. It's a really good movie.

I have read this book years ago and as I remember this is a really absurd, humorous and fantastic book. I really loved it. Hopefully the film will be great, too.

No offense to Alan Rickman, but I think he looks better with black hair.
I just heard about that movie last week. It sounds pretty good, but I don't know if I want to see it or not. Warwick Davis? I've never known who he was... I should pay more attention to the credits... (NOT!!!!!)

the way i understand it warwick davis will be something like C-3PO in the starwars movies, a man in a robot suit in other words. Rickman will do the voice however sort of how they did Darth Vadar(James Earl Jones did the voice and another actor was in the suit.)
And it sounds great to me I cant wait to see it.

Rickman's character sounds much like Snape, paranoid and sarcastic, that is. This role should be a breeze for him. As for Davis, he seems like a very good actor.

That's quite interesting that they are playing that part...or should I say may be playing the part. I've heard of the story but don't know much about it. It's bound to be good with Rickman in it.
