Director Garth Jennings reportedly told BBC Radio 1 just a few days ago that Rickman was to be the voice of Marvin the Android. Davis was confirmed earlier as the actor who will operate Marvin's robotic costume.
In the books, Marvin is a paranoid, terribly sarcastic character who is woefully unconcerned with the world around him. Rickman's casting has not been officially confirmed or announced (we'll keep you posted).

I just heard about that movie last week. It sounds pretty good, but I don't know if I want to see it or not. Warwick Davis? I've never known who he was... I should pay more attention to the credits... (NOT!!!!!)

Koolies! I'm definitly going to go and see it. I think that it is interesting to see someone that you know to be in a movie that you like a lot, and then see them in another movie. It gives you a totally different outlook on an actor or actress!! I just can't wait!!

Yay, I'm a big hitchhikers fan! My brother dressed up like Aurther Dent for halloween once. He wore a bath robe with a Don't Panic button while carring a bag of peanuts and a fake beer. Just in case you haven't already seen it posted The Hitchhickers Guide is a series of books by doudlas Adams. Its realy funny and strange and a grat read.

I have heard good things about the Hitchhiker series, though I have not read any of it. It makes me interested, however, that two well known Harry Potter actors will play a part in it. I might have to go see the movie myself.
