In an interview with British newspaper The Express, Julie Waltersopens in new window (Mrs. Weasley) from the Harry Potter movies confirmsopens in new window that she will not be making an appearance in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Ms. Walters discusses her feelings about not being in the movie:

To be honest, I was a bit hurt not to be in it. The kids love the Harry Potter films so much and I get lots of mail about it. I can understand why they've had to pare down the film as the book is so long but I am really hoping I'll be in again for the next one.

Mrs. Weasley is one of the best character. She is like a mother to Harry and has a good part in Gof.

That's really disappointing? Isn't she supposed to be there at the end, when Harry is in the hospital wing? Or do you think they cut that?

This is horrible! Mrs. Weasley only has a one minute part in the book, sort of. She just reads the paper, cooks dinner, and eats with Harry, Hermione, and her family. Why can't they just include her? This just stinks.

That's not right, so sooooooo not right. How can they cut her out of it? Shouldn't she at least make appearances if not have commentary? I mean...they're at the Burrow for about a week in the beginning. How are they going to explain a missing Mrs. Weasley??? I'm extremely saddened...

I am not really surprised by this. The book is so long and you know they have to cut something. She doesn't go to the QWC, and really is not in the book that much. I love Molly, though!

This is so uncool!!!! it is so unfair because Mrs Weasley it is one of the most importan caracters in this movie, she is the one who will be worried about the quiddich world cup and she is the one who visits harry at the tournament. This is so un fair!!! If they start to skip caracters it only means that they are skipping importnt parts of the books!

Saludos

I don't understand what the movie producers are doing. Why in the world do they insist upon adding thier own ideas, and then cut out so much of the original material. I think JK should step in before this film is ruined like the last one.

*sniff* No Julie Walters?
There are just certain things we EXPECT from these movies:
Mrs. Weasley chewing out her kids--- I ROLL on the floor laughing at that.... just like my Mom used to do!
Dudley getting it.... hope they didn't cut out the Ton-toungue-toffee in GOF. (more rolling on the floor)
Prof Snape teasing Harry... in his Suave, cool, and handsome, fashion.
Harry winning the Quiditch match.
More of Hagrid's "pet-projects".
Thinking McGonagall is going to chew Harry out, but ends up helping him (with a little wink).
The twins and their wit........ we need MORE of that by the way!
and Dumbledores enlightening explanation at the end.
Oh.... and Draco getting his just deserts! *snicker*- sorry Tom. :)
