In an interview with British newspaper The Express, Julie Walters
(Mrs. Weasley) from the Harry Potter movies confirms
that she will not be making an appearance in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Ms. Walters discusses her feelings about not being in the movie:
To be honest, I was a bit hurt not to be in it. The kids love the Harry Potter films so much and I get lots of mail about it. I can understand why they've had to pare down the film as the book is so long but I am really hoping I'll be in again for the next one.

Thats the only thing i hate about the films, they miss out so much of the books. Yeah i know that if they used the whole book it would be about 5 hours long but still they shouldnt miss out some of the really welcoming characters who make the films more inviting. I've just realised i wouldnt be bothered if the films were 5 hours long, at least i wouldnt be bored all day!!!!!!!!! Hurry up July 16th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. I read the whole article, and did they say they also cut Aunt Petunia and Vernon's parts? That's a great part at the house in Surrey, with Mr. Weasley and all. I wonder what they plan to do instead. As far as Mrs. Weasley. I realize that her part is pretty small, but still, I like her a lot.

Boo! She's so great in the book... especially when chastizing for the ton-tongue toffee and in sending kids to Quiddich World Finals.

Hey, WHAT IS THIS??????!?!?! - no Dursleys, no Percy, no prof.Sprout, no Mrs.Weasley......???????????????
I understand there isn't enough time to film The Burrow, but why isn't mrs.Weasley going to see the Quidditch Cup with her husband and kids?!?!?!?!?!?!?! This is ridiculous, all they had to do is to include her presence in those scenes, they don't need extra-time for that!!!!!! -she doesn't need to say or do anything special, but just BE THERE, just SHOW UP (like in POA, in the Leaky Cauldron!) and this doesn't take TIME!!!!!!
How on earth will look Mr.Weasley going to the Quidditch Cup like a "single father" with all the kids?!?!?!?!?????!!!!!!?!?!!!!

I am not too thrilled about this... she had some pretty strong roles in the book. You see more of her presence as a mother figure toward Harry especially toward the end, what with her showing up to watch the third task and sitting beside him the hospital wing after he comes back from facing Voldemort.. I suppose they'll cut that out then.

Well I think if they are going to use the books to make the film's and money out of the film they should atleast have the decency to use all the main players! Mrs Weasley is one of the best characters in the books and films and I relly hope she makes a return in Order of the Pheonix...That would be extremely disapointing otherwise...also I noticed that OotP is not on her future films!?

She sounds really sad about it. Didn't they possibly have ten seconds in which she could at least say two words, for example; before or after the QWC?

I hate it when these New Directors do not keep the movies with the same cast...I understand the problem with Professor Dumbledore and his replacement.
But, come on mates, this is Mrs. Weasley the belove it, mother of the Weasley family. She should of been in the GOF and on all the others in the future.

WHAAAATTT? No Mrs. Weasley? What is going on? I LOVE HER! How can you have a Harry Potter movie without Mrs WeasleY? COME ON!! They ARE still going to have the Weasley's house scenes, aren't they? That is such a big part of GoF!! But how could you have their house scenes without Mrs. Weasley? This is outrageous!

Sorry to double post>> But i just remembered her part after the third task!!! How could they do this? It is SOOOO important that the audience understand that the Weasley's are Harry's family. This is made relevant, by Mrs. Weasley, in the fourth book! I AM SO ANGRY! And sh sounds so sad sbout it, too! awww... i really hope that she is in the fifth book! i mean, how could they cut her out of THAT? And who cares if they want to keep the books and the movies separate? PUH-LEAzE!
PS I am now, officialy a student! WOOT WOOT!

I was very sad that Mrs. Weasley wasn't in the movie. She is kind of the mother figure for harry in the story I can't believe that they didn't even put her in once. There was a lot of times that they could have!
