Rumors are abound on the Internet today because of a small report on Dark Horizons stating that Elizabeth Hurley has been offered the role of an ‘evil witch’ in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
According to Dark Horizons

During CNBC News last night, it was apparently revealed that Elizabeth Hurley has been offered a part in the fifth Harry Potter movie The Order of the Phoenix with the character described only as an "evil witch", best guess for now is the role of Bellatrix. She apparently hasn't signed yet, but is thinking about it. Filming begins sometime next year.
We are currently trying to find out if there is any truth to this, but I decided to post the story since so many other Harry Potter sites are doing so. As with all unconfirmed casting news, please treat this as a rumor. As soon as we hear official news we will post it.
UPDATE: We have just received word from Warner Bros.:
There is absolutely no truth in that rumor whatsoever.

I never thought of Bellatrix as being beautiful. More of a tall, dark, cold woman. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this rumor plays out and then I'd have to see it.

Hmm....I'm not really seeing her as Bellatrix. Nor have I really seen her act that much so I question whether she would be good for the role. But I'm not completely against it being her if she can prove herself.

I certainly never had an image of Liz Hurley killing Sirius though... I did imagine Bellatrix was very pretty, although not after Azkaban :p . If they majorly uglied up Liz and gave her darker hair and she acted atleast decently... then maybe she could pull it off.

If that is true, then that's pretty cool, I think she would make a credible Bellatrix. My pick would be Selma Blair- her eyes are just perfect for the "heavy lidded" eye look Bellatrix is supposed to have, but since they won't let Americans be in the movies Hurley would be great.

Man, it's crazy that they think so far in advance!! I suppose to some extent it isn't that advanced, but considering that we all have to wait another ten months or so just to see the fourth movie...
