JK Rowling's star wizard will die by the end of her Harry Potter book series, according to a 53% majority of over 15,000 votes cast in HPANA's informal poll. Most fans indicated Harry would sacrifice himself to save loved ones before the end of book seven.
We asked, "Will Harry Potter survive the series and become an adult?"
Here's the rundown as of this story (voting is still open):
41%: No, he'll sacrifice himself to save his loved ones.
29%: Yes, they all live happily ever after.
12%: Yes (for some other reason).
9%: No. If he's not killed, Jo will be hounded to write more.
5%: Yes, though it'll be at St. Mungo's.
2%: No (for some other reason).
The author has playfully hinted -- more than once -- at her leading character's unsure future (at least as far as fans are concerned; Rowling herself knows exactly how the series will end, having already written the final chapter).
We can only wonder if Jo voted in the poll, sometime between taking care of her newborn daughter and sealing up plans for the release of her highly anticipated sixth novel, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. (I just hope he's not whacked by evil French Deatheather Guillaume de Broggy in a deadly duel.)

Well, I don't think Harry will die. Its way too devastating for me. Having Dumbledore die was so bad, I couldn't think straight the next day... If Harry died, I would feel betrayed, and like I wasted my time reading the books because Harry can't die, he's the greatest wizard.

I always thought that Dumbledore would die in the seventh book and I was so sad when he actually died!!! I think now is everythig possible: that Harry AND the Weaslys will die...
But I really want to find out why Snape killed Dumbledore, if he really is on Voldemorts side or if it all was a big hidden plan ... I just CAN'T believe that Dumbledore is dead!!!

I think that he is going to kill Voldemort but have to sacrifice his life. But I thought that he was just going to be murdered by Voldemort before I read the sixth book. hehe.

But i sariously think that voldemort just has to get what is coming to him i mean how many lives has he ruined he needs his cumupence!!! :)

I think it would be mean of JK Rowling to Kill him off just to end the series. She could do it a "Nicer" way! I hope that she is more optomistic about his life, since when should Evil win over good?

Personally, I think that if J.K. Rowling wants people to continue to love the Harry Potter legend, she cannot kill Harry. If she does I will automaticaly lose interest in the books and movies. And I don't think that I am the only one that thinks like that.
If Harry does live, I would say that kids for generations should read the books.

but I have a theory that Harry will stay alive but will take Voldemort's place as the leader of the Death Eaters.
I won't tell here about how I came to this but I can give you a good example for it.. it might be like Darth Vayder's biography in Star Wars... Good become evil after killing the main bad guy.
