oh I can't wait for this next book. someone I was reading said maybe the green light has to do with the avada kedava spell, and obviously they're looking in a pensieve, do you think perhaps harry s showing dumbledore a vision, like cedric dying or something, or his parents. JK did say they're be more info on his parents.

You gotta wonder what those rings of fire mean...it does to me. But like someone else said, he's made it to advanced N.E.W.T. level potions, so an auror is still a worthy choice of dear Harry's. YAHOOO!
I love that American cover though...go Mary!

I am sooooo excited for these books now! the covers are awesome! they are causing me to think all these different things about what is going to happen in the book.
i think digicam posted an interesting comment...he/she mentioned the green mist hinting at the avada kedavra curse...i wonder if they are using the pensieve to go back to the night when harry's parents were murdered?

I think always the american covers best, i have the english version though. But I must confess I'm dissapointed, because Harry POtter that I draw in my mind was exactly like the 5th books american varsion one, not the 6th, but they're good anyway...

wow... but do you really think that Harry and Dumbledore are standing over the pensieve? i tink its more likely to be something in the DoM or elsewhere... that looks huge... the pensieve was moveable, and fitted inside a cupboard... just a thought... but i am waaaaay excited... i cant wait.,... hehe... im going to be counting the time down

I agree that the cover of the UK adult version MUST mean something. JK Rowling supervises everything, and likes to slip clues (ahem-forshadowing) into everything. However, she has mastered the red-herring, so it may just mean that HP is going to take Advanced Potions-Making. We might keep in mind that Snape is the Potions Mahstah, and he's got a deep, dark secret that only he and Dumbledore are aware of...There's only one book after #6! Maybe we finally get let in on it too!

does anybody else here think that Hermione or even (unlikely, but not impossible) Ron could be taking potions, not Harry, i'm not saying thats true, or even likely, but it's a possibility. Ron wants to be an auror too.

I think y'all are right in thinking that the UK adult version must mean something. But you can't really be sure of anything. Maybe there is a connection between Snape (Advanced Potions-Making teacher) and the Half-Blood Prince. Thoughts anyone?

Wow! Dumbledore looks really angry! I wonder what it all comes down to.. and how, for that matter! Usually the cover relates directly to the climax of the story. I can't wait!

All of the covers are awesome, but the American one is the best. I'm glad I can get my favorite one.....book 6 no longer feels so far away! If I distract myself from it, it will come way faster than i think it will.

Wow...it really seems real now! I will really will read Half Blood Prince this year...*squee*
Thoughts on the UK/Adult cover: Advanced Potion-Making??? I'm trying to take note of all related things:
-Harry's OWLs results: still taking potions?!?
-still taking Occumlency lessons with Snape
-Is this so important that it would make the cover of the book?!
Oh my goodness...too many things to think about!!!
The covers are all beautiful...that's one HUGE pensieve on the cover of the American cover! And I think it's quite interesting that Dumbledore is on the cover.

WOW!!! :@))))))))))))) I love it! I never realised how different the US covers were from our covers in England. I like the adult version, but I'm not going to get it, 'cos it'd look weird next to the others which are all child versions.

Hermione Is Da Best says:
The Covers are good.i think there is a mistake on the picture, because harry is holding the wand in his left hand but harry is right hand. Also the American person who drew the Cover Actually read the book while the english Person who drew the english version was told want to do? In the american cover the Circle object is not a Pensive but a Basin i got this from Bloomsbury website.
