I, too, loved the bits about the Yule Ball. Emma's comments were really right on. It's hard to imagine how it'll look on screen when you see the bits they're filming, but I think it'll look a lot more "magical" when it's finished. It was hilarious seeing Ron and Harry "sitting it out" at the tables while others were dancing -- we've all seen that before!

I love the broadcast, but i wished they showed more stuff. I think its a good idea that they are not spoiling the stuff about voldie in the trailers though.

I watched it, and I did see the trailer. I even taped it on vhs. It was awsome, but extremely long, and I missed some of my other favorite shows.

Lea says:

WOOHOOOW, there are LOTS of NEW THINGS here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And EVERYTHING LOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!!!

(I don't have acces to ABC in my country, but I've downloaded the videos online, saved them on my computer and watched 'em about 50 times already!!!)

First thing: Dan/HARRY looks absolutely GORGEOUS in all the scenes and in all the costumes (tournament-robe, ball-tuxedo, everything!!!!!!) ...and Emma/HERMIONE looks SPLENDID all the time, too (well, ESPECIALLY at the BALL, of course!!!!:)...

I must say I was kinda puzzled by the previous pics of THE DRAGON, but now that I saw it clearly, moving and flying, it looks FANTASTIC!!!!!! (and, to quote Dan, quite TERRIFYING!!!!:)

Now, the Durmstrang group looks just AWESOME and they make a very impressing ENTRANCE, I really wasn't bothered by the Capoeira movements, I think it all fits just fine in that scene!!!!... ...And the Beauxbatons girls look GREAT too, I love the way they're dressed, they have splendid outfits, and they also have a GREAT "SCENOGRAPHY" (I love how they're moving, the way every girl graciously walks out of the group!!!....), ...but there's just one thing that I DON'T LIKE, because to me it looks really....."OUT OF PLACE": that girl (?) dressed in a leotard & tights, jumping in front of Madame Maxime like she was at some sort of gymnastic contest......!?!?!?! -now, in my opinion, that is WAY TOO MUCH!!! (I don't know, it just seems totally WRONG, UNFIT, unsuitable......) -but hey, that's just my opinion!...

Then, all those bits of sequences from the Tournament's tasks look AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! --WICKED (to quote Rupert:) and BLOODY BRILLIANT (to quote Ron;)!!!!

About the whole "boys & girls" stuff and finding a partner for the ball, I must say again how I love Dan's comments about HARRY being a model for "anyone who's ever been awkward with a girl, which is probably any male everywhere in the world"!!! (I know I've said it before but I can't help repeating it, cause it's a BRILLIANT comment!!!!!;) Then I must add I'm happy they didn't cut out the line "Why do they have to travel in packs?!" (it's one of funniest!!!:) not to mention the whole episode of Ron asking Fleur to the Ball!!!!!...:D (and Rupert's comment: "It's sort of fun when you're acting it, but in real life it's pretty scary!" -he,he!!!!;)... I also loved all their comments about dancing!.... (especially Emma's, about the very different attitudes of the gals and the guys towards dancing!!!:)

Now, CHO seems VERY PRETTY, but it was such a brief sequence!!!!!!! I re-re-played it, over and over, I even took screenshots, but still I couldn't say that I know for sure how she looks!!!!!!..... :/

About the Yule Ball costumes: I, personally, have nothing against Hermione's dress (sure, it would have been perfect if they'd stuck to the book and made it periwinkle-blue, but anyway it's beautiful ...and HERMIONE looks just SPLENDID!!!!!)... And I absolutely LOVE Harry's tuxedo (and, my, HE looks soooooo GORGEOUS & SEXY when he's dancing with Parvati!!!!!!!!!!!)...

And PARVATI looks VERY BEAUTIFUL indeed, and I like that "sari"-dress she's wearing... (or is it "saree"?...) and my, she has FANTASTIC HAIR!!!!!!!!! =0 =O Now, I didn't get to see PADMA very well (I've heard the actresses are not twin-sisters and I wonder how similar can they look??!...) but I saw she's dressed almost identically (which I don't mind, even if in the book they were wearing different coloured outfits).....

Also speaking of the ball-outfits, I like very much KRUM'S COSTUME!!!!!! And I must say his dancing-scene with Hermione looks just PERFECT, despite Emma's comments!!!!! (Just like Harry's dance with Parvati looks ABSOLUTELY GREAT, no matter what Dan says!!!!;) Now I can't wait to see THE OTHERS dancing ...and their costumes!!!

What else?.... Oh, yes, I'm very glad they've kept the tension between Ron and Harry in the film, because, in my opinion, that's a very important issue!!! --Ron's jealousy of Harry's succes and glory.....overcomed in the end by the FRIENDSHIP!!.... (I wonder if they kept the punch, too?...!!!)

I also like Emma's comment about Hermione "spending most of her time worrying about Harry" (I know I said that the first time I've heard it, but I had to repeat it because.....it's so true!!!!) ...and Rupert's comments about Ron & Hermione ("you sort of sense, like, a ...relationship between them two" [...] "I guess he's sort of....jealous"--tee-he-hee!!!;) -And I'm very pleased that they've kept Ron's funny lines "You're fraternizing with the enemy!" and "He's using you to get inside information...", as well as Hermione's indignation in response!!!.....

Uhhh.... I think that would be all.... ...for the moment. God, I'll have to present a special apology to the moderators and owners of this site for "talking" too much!!!!!! (waaay too much!!!.....) SORRY!!!!
