Rupert Grint, Ron from the Harry Potter movies is reportedly
to star Driving Lessons with Julie Walters and Laura Linney. Filming is scheduled to start filming next month in London and Edinburgh.
About the movie:
The story centers on a shy vicars' son (Grint) with an overprotective mother whose world changes when he meets a retired actress.

That is sooo amusing his Weasley mum is playing his mum in this movie too! That is sooo cool! Im glad that his career is extending further than the Harry Potter series, where as Dan will be known as the 1st Harry Potter for the rest of his life (if no one replaces him, which would be sad).

Rupert's a great actor so it'll be nice to see him play a completely new character. I certainly hope he keeps playing Ron however, the movies just wouldn't be the same without him in them.

Wow, thats great for Rupert, getting out of the Harry Potter ring of things. I think that the only disadvantage would be as being an actor for the movies would be that publically you would be seen as your character, eg Rupert as Ron. But now i guess with this new role Rupert will really be able to prove his acting skills and after the HP movies he would be able to continue as an sucessful actor.

Hm. Is that film going to be available to watch in the USA as well? I doubt it, I mean I didn't get to watch Thunderpants or anything....that's sad! But I would love to watch that movie. It sounds rather odd, but not in a bad way. Interesting. I mean, Rupert is gonna be playing someone who's shy! That'll be a change from slightly outspoken Ron. That will be neat to watch Rupert with a different character.

That's a good combination of Actors. Julie should play a great overbearing Mother. Rupert should be great as the Son.
I can't imagine Laura Linney in it but she is a good actor.
