Rupert Grint, Ron from the Harry Potter movies is reportedly
to star Driving Lessons with Julie Walters and Laura Linney. Filming is scheduled to start filming next month in London and Edinburgh.
About the movie:
The story centers on a shy vicars' son (Grint) with an overprotective mother whose world changes when he meets a retired actress.

That sounds a fun movie! Rupert is the only one of the trio who's done other movies (Thunderpants springs to mind!). He had time for HarryPotter still when he was filming Thunderpants, so I'm sure he'll be able to do OotP too! Go Rupert!

Thats great! I'm happy to see that he is straying away from Harry Potter a little and not letting it take over his life. Not that that would be a bad thing, but it is good to see a little change here and there. I will definitely have to see the movie though!

I for one can't wait to see Rupert (and many of the other young actors - not just the main trio either) in other movies. I think Rupert and Daniel have a chance to have great careers ahead of them. I think they both have a natural comedic talent about them and I could definitely see them both in serious dramatic roles as well. Emma, I think is the kind of young woman who will do whatever she sets out to do and won't let anything get in her way so if she wants to do more films I believe she will and will do them over and beyond well.
My only hope is that they'll remain true to their HP roots and stick with the series since that is really what has given them this boost of stardom.

I think it's excellent the actors are finding other acting jobs instead of just the HP movies. I may just have to check that movie out. Although I don't know if I can ever know Rupert as anyone but Ron Weasley (which is why I said I'm glad he found another acting job).
