and The Daily Mirror talk about their involvement in yesterday's reported theft of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and the ensuing events:
The Daily Mirror says they were "approached by a security guard who worked at a distribution warehouse. Burly Aarron Lambert, 19, demanded £30,000 for a sneak look" at the book. The Sun claimed the theif (who they name as Arun) wanted £50,000 and that a gun was fired during their clandestine meeting.
And [Lambert] was soon boasting how he had evaded massive security. "It was very hard," he said. "They've even got foreign contract workers in there so the staff don't know what it's all about. The whole warehouse is on camera - I had to be really careful. I planned it for weeks. They're doing everything they can to stop people getting hold of it. But they couldn't stop me."

Police confirmed last night that Lambert and his 37-year-old accomplice (pictured in that last photo) had been arrested.
JK Rowling has obtained a court order aimed at preventing the men from divulging any content of the book before its release.

Tisk tisk!! I'm glad J.K took out a court order so they can't give anything away!! I'm perfectly fine waiting another month to get my little hands on the book!! A few years ago didn't a truck load of PoA books get hijacked or something!! I hope nothing big like that happens!! I would hate for some twit to ruin the suprise!!

What I think is stupid, is that these idiots tried to sell the copies to the same news paper that was named in a lawsuit after the release of OotP... It was the same exact thing... these guys should be on world's dumbest criminals!!!

Im really glad they got caught and that for now the book is safe I dont want anyone to spoil the book with leaked infomation. The fine that they will get will be massive haha. Serves them right.

Wow these people are really disturbed, I mean they aren't even HP fans they just wanted money. If an advanced copy fell into my hands, I'd be too busy reading it to make deals with newspapers! But I wouldn't waste weeks of my planning and plotting to break the law, I really wouldn't want to go to prison for that. Imagine explaining to the other inmates what you were in for!!!
