In this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly
, Harry Potter director Mike Newell discusses the fact that he is nervous about showing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to movie executives in two weeks. The article also states that work has started on Order of the Phoenix and that Daniel Radcliffe will return: "My enthusiasm has absolutely not gone down."
"I'm terribly pleased with the film," says director Mike Newell (Donnie Brasco) of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth movie adapted from J.K. Rowling's series of novels, due Nov. 18. In two weeks, Newell will screen his work (minus completed special effects) for Warner Bros. brass for the first time. Nervous? "Of course!" he says. "This is a story where the kids [are] now teenagers. Is the audience ready for an older Harry Potter? They bought the book--I just hope we present a Harry Potter they want to see." Couldn't have set the stakes better ourselves.
Work has begun on the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. British TV veteran David Yates will direct, and screenwriter Michael Goldenberg follows Steven Kloves. Harry is still good to go. "My enthusiasm has absolutely not gone down," says Daniel Radcliffe, 15, who wouldn't rule out doing a non-Potter film before starting part 5 in January. "But it would be a mistake to want to show you can do stuff other than Harry Potter so badly that you just rush into something."
This week's issue with Tom Cruise on the cover hits newstands today.
Reminder: Since Warner Bros. has not yet released the cast list for Order of the Phoenix please treat this as a rumor till confirmed.

Great news to hear that Dan is so enthusiastic about continuing his Harry Potter role, I think he's the best for the job and don't want to see him replaced. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders by the comment he made about it would be a mistake trying to jump into another project just to prove he can do something other than Harry Potter- it shows he has some maturity. I hope he does well when he does act in other movies.

It's great to know that they are talking about the 5th movie already. At the same time it is also quite nerve racking. They are already talking about the 5th instalment but haven't even realesed the 4th one yet. Hurry up already. Good to know that Dan will be in OotP, but it wouldn't be the same without the rest of the crew. I hope they all decide to stick around for the rest. Without them it would be different. And in this case, different isn't good.

zi'm very glad that Daniel will continue to be Harry for the next film, I hope that all of the other main characters will remain consistent, especially Ron and Hermione. I hope that the new films are more like the first two, rather than the third in consistency with the books.

Sounds good. Mike Newell seems cool and from what i've seen so far, the movie won't have trouble relating to the appropriate audience. I'm not complaining! Plus it's good Dan is still passionate about the HP movies, but it would be bizarre to see him in other roles, other than HARRY.
