To coincide with the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince the Today Show is asking
, "Are you the BIGGEST Harry Potter fan?"
Well if you think you are and are under the age of 13 you may enter Today's Harry Potter Total Trivia Tournament. You will need to tell the Today Show in 50 words or less why you think you deserve to participate in the trivia tournament.
According to the site:
Hey all you muggles out there. Are you the BIGGEST Harry Potter fan? Do you think you have what it takes to be in Today's Harry Potter Total Trivia Tournament? This is no Triwizard tournament with dragons, eggs or mazes, but a test nonetheless. Well if you are under the age of 13 and have a parent willing to be your partner, then tell us in 50 words or less why you think you deserve to hold court on the plaza and vie for the crown to be the Harry Potter Total Trivia Tournament Champion. Include your name and contact number where we can best reach you. You must be available to come to New York City for the contest on Thursday, July 14th. Will our Goblet of Fire choose you?

Hmmm, it seems a bit too obsessive for my taste. Granted, I dearly love HP...but I'm the kind of girl that would rather die than ask for an autograph from anyone, etc. I never want *famous* people to think that I'm only thinking of them as stars and not as normal human beings. But, then again, it's only for fun and I'm sure that the kids will have a great time with it!

I feel too much under pressure in these types of contests. I'm pretty good at HP trivia, though. I should be, I'm really good at memorizing things. Tis a pity none of my 80's born and before that buddies can't enter, that's all I'm saying. We all deserve a shot. Though I suppose it sort of narrows down the amount of people competing. Just a tad, mind you.

I remember they've had kids posing questions in HP segments before (an interview with Dan Radcliffe comes to mind) who were pretty serious fans (and articulate as well!) so I think the "BIGGEST" HP fans under age 13 could do an excellent job representing all of us.
