Jason Isaacs, who portrays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, is becoming more like his character he says. In an effort to remain in character he avoids answering his fan mail, he also comments that he’s enjoyed playing Lucius and that he hopes that he will be in the next movie and that author Rowling continues to write Harry Potter books for years to come.
I'm carefully cultivating an entire generation of people who despise me, because when you're in 'Harry Potter' films you get a lot of fan mail... I haven't answered any of it, so they will hate me even more than they did to start with. They probably spent their pocket money sending me a stamped, addressed envelope. Number four is finished. I'm not signed up for number five; I haven't got a script for [it] yet, but I understand I have some things to do in the book and, if they ask me, then I would be hoping to be in it. Because that is good fun, it's ridiculously good fun to dress up as a wizard ... I hope that [JK Rowling] writes it until Harry Potter is 65 years old and on a walking frame.

He is a great actor and I could not imagine a better Lucius Malfoy. Though I do hate the character, I must agree with the actor: I would not mind if JK continues writing. But on the other hand, I have that nasty feeling that he is going to die in the end of the seventh book. . . It would be awful, but I believe it would be the best way to end it all. Sad but true.

Its great that people, even older actors like him are getting into HP just because its cool to dress up as a wizard.

Although why anyone would hate him is a mystery to me, because he's a great guy. Don't worry, Jason, I still loathe Lucius very much. He's evil and foul. Ugh, and a Malfoy.

Sorry, but I think that is rude. Even if he does want his fans to "despise" him, I think he should at LEAST answer his fan-mail, even if it isnt a personalized letter. It is never good to be mean to people or want them to hate you just because your character is mean in a movie... I think I may have lost some respect for him because of that.

You would think that Jason (Lucius) would definately be in movie number five because of the MoM scenes etc. It is hard to see him as really bad since he has played in roles as a good guy.
