Jason Isaacs, who portrays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, is becoming more like his character he says. In an effort to remain in character he avoids answering his fan mail, he also comments that he’s enjoyed playing Lucius and that he hopes that he will be in the next movie and that author Rowling continues to write Harry Potter books for years to come.
I'm carefully cultivating an entire generation of people who despise me, because when you're in 'Harry Potter' films you get a lot of fan mail... I haven't answered any of it, so they will hate me even more than they did to start with. They probably spent their pocket money sending me a stamped, addressed envelope. Number four is finished. I'm not signed up for number five; I haven't got a script for [it] yet, but I understand I have some things to do in the book and, if they ask me, then I would be hoping to be in it. Because that is good fun, it's ridiculously good fun to dress up as a wizard ... I hope that [JK Rowling] writes it until Harry Potter is 65 years old and on a walking frame.

Invredibly rude...but devoted to his role in the film I have to admit. He is a terrific actor and that is the best way to become better so if anyone still writes fan mail to him then they're wasting their time.

I think He does a great job as Lucius. Every time I see him on the movie I want to smack him... you know your good when...haa haa I wonder if READS the mail... I hope so. Not reading it and not writing back are two different things.

I think he portrays Lucius really well, he makes me gain more dislike for his characture everytime I see him in the movies and personally thats I feel that's just how Jo wants us to feel. He also sounds like a pretty funny guy.

I highly doubt he doesn't answers his mail, he's a real joker, ironic for a man who plays so many brilliantly evil roles. He once told some friends children , after they had watched a private screening of the 2nd movie (before the release) that they couldn't talk about it at school... 2 days later phone calls from his friends children begging him to let them talk....it was a joke from the begginning but the kids had got the wrong end of the stick, he laughed telling this on a radio program. He's cruel to the gullible, but you gotta love him

Poor ole Jason Isaacs sure does play shady characters a lot!! He is sooo good at it too, and I would be willing to bet that he is lazy and doesn't want to answer mail. Surely he doesn't want people to really hate him. He just doesn't want to say, "Hey guys I'm Lazy!"
